This is what happens when you kill the competition and the brand falls off... saying it again... Wrestling getting corny to fans because vince making it irrelevant...

At some point someone will have to step in and tell Vince to. I never understood the reason for the current brand split because they don't have the depth to pull it off, it's just as easy to have wrestlers appear on one show one week and another show the other week. The roster looks much better together than separate and Vince needs to realize that.

Backstage News on WWE Wanting to Make Raw and Smackdown Equal

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE really wants to a put a lot of emphasis on making Smackdown an equal show to Raw when the brand split happens and Smackdown goes live in July. One of the rumored names for the Smackdown brand is John Cena, with WWE hoping his presence on the show will help make the show as legitimate as Raw.

In related news, it’s being said USA Network has had a lot to do with WWE deciding to bring back the brand split, as the network has been unhappy with Smackdown’s low ratings. When USA and WWE recently talked about what could be done to help Smackdown, the idea of the show going live is what the two sides came up with. Vince McMahon then came up with the idea of bringing the brand split back as he felt Smackdown needed its own identity.

Basically like I said in another thread, USA Network has WWE by the balls.

Casual fans who watch RAW/SD was short matches mixed with comedy, vignettes, promos and fukkery.

No one is trying to watch a 20 minute opening match. Not to mention its a 3 hour show now so its like 5 of those 20 min matches.

Save the 5 star matches for the PPVs and rarely on RAW/SD.

And also one week it will be kevin owens vs sami zayn for example..
Then a week or 2 later it will be the same match. Over and over. Hardys vs cesaro and sheamus was almost every raw...and theres no real storyline. Just matches. Leave it to vince that he sucked the life out of the hardyz

The company desperately needs a legit crossover star. it's the only way to arrest the company's decline.

This BULLshyt that is parroted about them being better off not relying on one major star is such a crock of shyt. The audience is dwindling year on year and the only way to get people back and bring in new fans is to create a new star which much like Austin did in the 90s, will help elevate everyone in the company. Lets be reality...Al Snow was more over in the 90s than most of these bums.

but the thing is they won't be able to create real stars until thy actually let the talent COOK and cut promos with more freedom and let them develop their own characters rather than micro manage every single thing.

The lack of attendance has nothing to do with the talent. They're creatively bankrupt at the moment. If the Vince/KO segment is any indication, they might start blurring the PG line.

With all those seats empty, when Reigns said "I sell out arenas", I would have died if Cena pointed to the crowd and said 'word?' or called out Section 107 being empty as hell.
