Pull up what was going on that yr with LA Before the trade and before Bynum got hurt.... But Pau helped out tremendously and immediately helped make the Lakers a Finals lock. So I won't downplay his impact those yrs ...but Kobe was on another level at that time and needed only just competent teammates not the Smush Parkers Slavs Medvedenkos Roni Turiefs Luke Waltons and Jordan whatever his name was type teammatesEasy

Pierce and them spoke on this a long as time ago. It wasnt really about him leaving. It was about he immersed himself in their personal lives and presented himself as a best friend then just left without saying a word to anyone. Pierce said they were all brothers. Youve slept in my house, our kids are friends, we eat together, vacation together, hangout with eachother's families etc. They have the right to call the nikka phony in that environment. If you not my nikka then idgaf about what you do but if you perpetrating as family and ingratiate yourself into my family then whatever decision you make is cool, but if you are really family, then just make me aware of what you are doing because it affects me too, my kids and my family. It aint that hard to understand.

Love Ray but he juelzing on some of his points. He's acting like Boston didn't offer him a contract worth twice as much as Miami did. He's acting like pierce didn't invite him to his ceremony. He's acting like he's oblivious to the fact that the ceremony was happening. Then he says Miami wasn't a rival? It was the Knicks?
Despite the fact that they battled in the playoffs for 2 consecutive years losing both times...and really since it was a Lebron led team then its 4 out of 6 yrs. utterly ridiculous that Ray said that.

He's from a different era. The Heat rivals are the Knicks, Knicks-Bulls, Knicks-Pacers, Knicks-Heat.
Lakers-C's, Lakers-Spurs, Lakers-Blazers, Lakers-Kings
C's didn't have any rivalry during that point in time.
Cavs rivals have always been the Bulls.
Cs vs Pacers had a good competition for a while from CyberToine & Pierce years, but it hadn't reached rivalry.
There wasn't enough between MIA/Cs to call it a rivalry. They were just a team you may face in the playoffs. Are there any rivalries today? That's probably why the media been creating these false narrative, tryna brew one. GS-OKC fizzled out before it got started.
