Ray Rice suspended 2 games

I don't think anyone is opposed to the NFL changing the drug suspension rules. Pot especially.

If doing what Rice did can only get you two games there shouldn't even be recreation drug suspension rules.

IIRC there was talk around the superbowl, or rules committee meetings about them abolishing the rule that you get suspended for smoking pot.

Rice was never charged though. The union would go apeshyt over anything more...the drug policy is built into the CBA, which the union agreed upon. There's no domestic violence clause written in- the punishments are in the hands of the commissioner for this type of stuff.

Using the drug suspension policy as a baseline for other misconduct issues is never going to happen. If Rice was charged and this was going to court- he probably wouldn't be playing this year.

I'm a Steelers fan who follows the team very closely and Ben has been accused of this MORE than twice...it has only hit National media those two times. Every other time it's been "swept under the rug". Ben has even came out and said he thought he was Superman and "couldn't be touched". It wasn't directly in regards to the allegations but anyone with any sense can tell that he was referencing that also.
