He’s similar to Reason (but better) in that they both aren’t bad rappers and make technically good songs, but there’s nothing exciting about them. It’s like cookie cutter, this is what a dope modern hip hop song should sound like. After a listen, I’m not disappointed, but there isn’t anything that will ever make me gravitate to it again.
That's unfair

He already better than Cole

I liked Reason but he was very 1 note in his delivery and didn't have a lot of personality. Vaughn has alot more going in both aspects in my opinion.

Reason is really like if you asked AI to create a generic west coast rapper.,,but you forgot a few prompts to give him personality

He's like a bag of fritos...not bad by any means, but they don't have anything about them to stand out....But nobody's checking for them if there is another option to choose from.

this tape was mad depressing

Pretty good. Vaughn clearly put his heart into this project.
Yeah that's what I got from the album,a lot of his Looseys have the same style too(like spitting how he had Insufficient Daddying Growing up in LB) so I expected that kinda Vibe here after hearing flat SHASTA(which is crazy cause that was my Dad's Soda of Choice and I would hit his Can Stash up when I visited:laugh:(

it's a thing that seperates the black hippies, zay, etc. they have a lot of depressing topics too but they put an entertainment factor on it either through the beats or other songwriting that just isn't quite consistent at this point with ray.

like east chatt.... probably one of my most played songs this year. it was depressing but entertainment value is there. but it stands out greatly from the other songs almost feels out of place on the album

but tbh i have only played this once but ima give it more spins and see if it kicks in. it's tde afterall, they know what they are doing so i give them benefit of doubt lol
