Dr. Knockboot? :whoo: Never thought anybody would add that. On the low, though, I used to rock to that in high school. I was a virgin then. "Dooooo....DON'T!!" Yessir, Nas, taking notes.:lolbron:

You Gotta Love It would've been a smash. That's the kind of record that makes people wonder what the fukk Nas be thinking when he puts these records together. How the fukk do you leave those kind of records off an album? You build around shyt like that. Those aren't scraps. Son's unreleased material is ill. Thank God for the Lost Tapes. We need a second helping.

yeah dr knockboot has always been real dope to me. A lot of people seem to hate it. Like you I was rocking the album in HS too. One of the last albums I can clearly remember having to actually purchase to hear the entire thing completely fresh and I fukkin loved it.

It wasn't until years ago that I read what the album should have been and now I am isn't as great to me anymore :yeshrug:

Feel the same way. :snoop: That's why I'm having to go back and make my own versions of albums.

1. Belly Button Window
2. Project Windows
3. NY State of Mind Pt. 2
4. U Gotta Love It
5. Small World
6. Hate Me Now
7. Blaze a 50
8. Nas Is Like
9. You Won't See Me Tonight
10. Drunk By Myself
11. Favor For A Favor
12. Find Ya Wealth
13. Rise And Fall
14. Sometimes I Wonder
15. Undying Love

Top 5:

Belly Button Window
Project Window
Drunk By Myself
Nas is Like
Small World

3 Singles:

Nas Is Like
You Won't See Me Tonight
Project Windows (how do you let a Ron Isley feature not be a single)

Bottom 3:

You Won't See Me Tonight
Sometimes I Wonder
Favor For A Favor

Almost made the cut:

Wanna Play Rough
Come Get Me
Ghetto Prisoners

I feel like "Project Windows" would've been a nice single for the whole "Autobiography" theme of I Am. Ron Isley being featured is a plus. "You Won't See Tonight" was a nice Timbaland production featuring Aaliyah that had potential to be one of Nas's biggest singles. We all know "Nas Is Like" and that Columbia was smart for releasing it to gain back any fans he lost during the IWW era and was nice for the core audience who still rode with Nas.

Here's my version: Basically, tells a story of a man from the womb through his childhood and teen years, to when he becomes successful and that success is the cause of his demise. I think my version has a lot of great storytelling, is cohesive, and musically piff.

1.Fetus
2. Poppa was a playa
3. Project Windows
4. NYSOM2
5. Nas is Like
6. Sometimes I wonder
7.Hate me now
8. Blaze a 50
9. Kissing
10. My worst enemy
11. Drunk by myself
12. undying love
12. After life (interlude)
13. Amongst Kings

the problem and brilliance abt nas is his absolute insistence of never being the poster boy of rap. I think people fail to remember how big an album I AM was. It was without doubt the most widely anticipation album since the death of those 2 donut rappers. I AM was the first casualty of the new internet phenomenon. There hasn't been an album since 1999 that was waited on with such eagerness. It sold loads and in fairness to the listener they understood Nas' reason for making quick ill thought alternatives as most had the original album weeks before release date!!! Lol

Triple Threat was supposed to be on the finished album. Vamp from the NaS board scanned and showed an old promo insert or liner notes from a promo CD. Triple threat was on it. Find Your Wealth too. I don't think I saw it listed. Some said that he did about 46 songs. The rumor that I always heard was at least 100. Thats why I want those Sony vaults to be opened more than his def jam vaults.
