A lot of people think Ready To Die >>>>> Illmatic, even more at the time, this isn't an uncommon opinion.

If you go against the grain it doesn't mean you're a troll, you might just have a different opinion. It's not like Ready To Die is wack, shyt is pretty much accepted as classic so why can't someone like it better if they feel that way?
RTD kind of was like a blueprint for a lot of shyt, and LAD was like a 2nd blueprint. Had a lot of influence.

I agree, RTD is the perfect rap album....perfect balance of commercial and hardcore records....w that said illmatic is still one of the GOAT rap albums but i give RTD the slight edge
