Its a method to sniping. If you are doing it in a way to advance your team(spotting, keeping enemies from an objective, taking out other snipers) then it isn't bad. If you are way on the other side of the map going 4-0, doing nothing, and basically wasting a squad spot , then its bad. I'm usually rushing sniper who pulls out the side arm to fight or run up on land vehicles with the C4.
