My hand writing is messy but I can write neatly because I was forced to learn as a child.
Unless it is a card or hand written letter to my grandma, I care more about the content. I think that it is an feminine trait to be concerned with the presentation of something trivial (if it was serious, you'd type it up and print it).

Also on subject, I’ve been told I had a doctor’s hand writing my whole life. Now that I think about it, I only have to write something maybe 3-4 times a year.
