The funny thing is the grandparent/grandchild relationship is the true generation skip when "legacy" takes place because by the time an 80 year old man dies his 5 kids are 40-50 and therefore established (or should be), it's the 15-25 year grandchildren who need the benefit of whatever he laid out.
But my grandfather didn't get married and have 6 kids cause he thought "well I may try to live the best I can but I know one of the kids will have a kid that does something amazing." Most people don't, they just don't want to die lonely and want to reproduce (like all organisms are wired to). If a breh wants a wife and children I hope he finds it and it lasts but to me legacy isn't really a reason because your descendants can stagnate or fukk up what you've left themthe only way to truly be an engineer of your legacy through kids is to be a Joe Jackson, Earl Woods, Richard Williams type of patriarch (not necessarily through sports or entertainment but just that domineering type to PUSH their kids to achieve at all costs).
I'm really more open to the idea of a child than marriage but it would to be on my terms which isn't really possible
