Real Reason Why Yts Don't Like Caleb Lucas On Stranger Things

I remember when Halo: Reach was coming out, everybody thought Emile was the coolest,

until they heard his voice. When it was revealed that he was black, suddenly he became "so annoying".

• I hate Preston...because he gives you those repetition settlement missions [that you can totally avoid by not talking to him...and they still don't have any effect on finishing the story]
• I hate Jacob...because if you romance his character in Mass Effect 2, he'll cheat on you and get another woman pregnant in Mass Effect 3 [A LARGE majority of ppl who play single player use Male Shepard. Jacob's character isn't gay. And I'm sure it isn't that many Fem Shep player choosing Jacobs over the other romance options]

He was annoying in season one because he was always overly emotional and got jealous just because he best friend started spending all his time with a girl. He got better towards the end of the season and in season 2 he was one of the best characters. I don't see why anyone would hate him though

I think he’s hated because S1 is kinda told through the eyes of Mike who’s suppose to be the white male lead we can all get behind, but he, Lucas, is always questioning his decisions to the point it seems like he’s trying to be the leader which challenges the conventional view of black characters having supporting roles making a lot of viewers uncomfortable.

I think the writing team knows what they’re doing here because they lowkey reference what Im talking about in this scene here in S2



Honestly I think this is a direct response to fans criticism of Lucas and wanting him to “know his place” and “stay out the way.” Instead of the norm they have a black kid that’s easily equally significant and more importantly, the leader.

Also in this ep we see Lucas making many calls and Mike’s only response is “... I didn’t ok this.”

S2 is practically the opposite when it comes to Mike and Lucas’ personalities. So if they really didn’t like Lucas(Caleb) because he was annoying Mike(Finn) should be catching that same energy.


TL:DR - Lucas ain’t playin second fiddle to no one and he lowkey the leader of the skwaaa.

hes leader between him and dustin. like mike is leader between him and will. the problem comes when they get older and red and eleven start having more pull

Season 1 was great cause they were able to bland the kid with an adult story. Season 2 turned into an high school story. I don't have time for teenagers love stories.
