boring or not Cole is one of the few rappers out in today's market actually trying to be a RAPPER, as in have punches, metaphors, song themes, letting the lyrics speak for themselves.

He and Kendrick are two sides of the same coin, the purist and the avant-garde.

Add to that the fact that Cole comes across as honest, and spits about shyt that is actually relateable to your average consumer and we good to go!

KRIT is a better rapper though.

I like KRIT overall more than I do J. Cole, but because he hasn't received a co-sign like Cole nobody gives a shyt. Yeah, Cole has the big singles and shyt, but he's a cornball to me. KRIT seems way more authentic and his ways of articulating his concepts is unique. Both of them are in he same lane to me though that's my I made the comparison.
