None of that stuff is Jay's problem.

1. He's never letting go of Hip-Hop. He's smarter than LL, but not as talented as Will Smith. So, he knows better than to stray too far from his Rap persona. Even during his 2 week retirement (never stopped doin' features) he told Sway we should still call him Jay-Z.
2. I don't like how Jay-Z is singled out for materialism. Just turn on the radio. Either sex or money. The problem seems to be; he's actually a rich person and we're offended at what it actually takes (corporate elbow rubbin') to make as much as you rap about. I'll never forget the poster that responded to my "what makes Ross different that Jay-Z (money raps)?" and homie said; "well, Ross makes the average dude think he can make it, too"
3. Stop with "satanic" talk. Nobody was callin' him a devil worshipper when Big Pimpin' dropped or during the height of his gangster/murder phase. Ya'll see some sophisticated symbols and "call the Devil" on him. If a "diamond sign" is evil, than so is drug dealing, fornication, gluttony, materialism, etc. Don't nitpick.
4. And there's no rappers makin' groundbreaking music and the industry is preventing us from hearing it. You would have given us one name, at least?

Kanye realized this within the past year. This immediately brings to mind those rants while he was touring in Europe being anti Corporations etc and not wanting to be on the radio....and even saying that slick shyt about Suit and Tie.

You don't have a problem with rappers name dropping these brands all thru they music and not get paid for it back in the 90's and 2000's I bet,now Jay showing that u can use these brands to pay for shyt when u get to a certain level and he wrong?of course not ever rapper should use his blueprint and they should have ther own artistic integrity and what they willing to do and not willing to do.....Hov ain't the only example to follow to be succesful so how the hell u gon put it all on his shoulders?

Why do u put no weight on the shoulders of past legends who could mentor these new artist who's opinion may hold weight,maybe not on a financial end but on a artistic end....I don't see legends who are succesful willing to tell nobody theymusic stink....if that's what your problem is.

You make a lot of valid points. Some see what Jay doing as one of he biggest boss moves ever but does he have to? YOu could say of course he can and he's just flexing. You sound like Jim Jones a couple of years ago. Talking about Jay needs to stop releasing albums so other niccas could eat. Why you mad about a dude rapping about how his daughter is worth our entire families but you don't get on rappers for glorifying drug-dealing, women hating, gay bashing, gun totting and murder culture.
Who the fukk told Jcole to sign that deal? nobody forced him. He could have said no and stayed dolo, gain enough leverage to get the kinda of deal he wanted(i.e Wiz, M. Miller...)
Why are niccas even depending on "blowing up" to feed their family in the first place. what kinda backward thinking is that?
And no nicca the album is not droppin alongside an app. Samsung bought 1 million albums at $5 a piece. the 1st million people to buy the new phone will get the Jay album for free which they'll be able to download 72hrs b4 release date through an app.
