The problem isn't the logic, people are hardly logical and how a white person interprets seeing themselves in a position of authority is not the same way a black person would interpret it . Hell, let's say if Hillary were made president in 2016, I'd expect a good deal of women to act similar to how many blacks did with Obama. I'd be a dikk to go around pretending like the two were even remotely similar when men took that privilege for granted.

A white dude feeling some sort of way about having a white president is asinine because all presidents before obama were white men. He couldn't fully appreciate what it's like to not have that. It's like comparing someone who was born into wealth or some lofty position to the person who became self made . The self made guy is going to appreciate it that much more because he wasn't raised with that level of expectation . Come on now.

Don't act like all this celebratory spiking of the football type shyt doesn't have an undertone of fukk the white man underneath it. Honestly some of us are happier that the achievement pisses off some whites than that the achievement was even made. In a post Obama presidency world if you heard a white person boasting that their president is white you'd know what they were really saying.

I'm not belittling the first minority president I'm saying I see the bullshyt that's going on behind some of these celebrations even if some of us wanna pretend like we don't. you're right the argument is a waste because the use of historical perspective is being used to patch up logic that is clearly faulty by the admission of people that use historical perspective to argue against it. once historical perspective is removed from the logic (ie white president) you see how wrong the logic actually is even to yourself.

a black person is proud their president is black
a hispanic is proud their president is hispanic
