wrestling might be more mainstream than ever right now. The business overall isn't as popular, but wrestlers being on TV shows isnt a big deal anymore like it was in Attitude era

Wrestling is a niche product and becoming more niche. WWE is hemorrhaging the same viewers and not replacing most of the ones that have left.

I don't follow ANY wrasslin news past what the WWE officially sanctions and presents in their programming. I also have ZERO emotional attachment to any wrassler

What's wild is, the adults(us) are the ones supporting the product monetarily. And we're just watching out of habit/love for what we grew up on.

I highly doubt there's many NEW adult fans, but yet they pander to children who 90% will likely only watch wrestling as a phase. The rest may stick around, but for how long?.....there's not enough substance right now to create long term fans, from childhood to adult, anymore.

I think at most we're smarks but it's a different class cause we still have our hip-hop knowledge.

I do think there are people who will look at wrestling sideways for even mentioning WrestleMania despite the mainstream attention it gets.

You completely confirmed OP point, then. I'm sure you dont understand how, but think about it. Then think about it some more, the lightbulb will ding.

The audience continues to shrink at a rapid pace and the audience is extremely specific, marks. The definition of niche programming 101
