I really don't think he is committed to his heel role.

He plays to the crowd entirely too much.

I don't see how the character (in a 'regular guy' era of non-characters) makes it to this point of he's not committed.

The entrance itself wins the crowd. It has that Undertaker type of appeal where its probably leading to ticket sales because people want to see it in person. I don't know if the city call out was entirely necessary, but like @bravaDo said, I've never taken much of an issue with Bray rallying the crowd because he's been telling people to follow him since day 1. I don't think it'd really hindered his storylines to this point.

Aside from being ultra talented, I think Bry was a great foe for Bray for a few reasons. One, he's one of the few guys they have that even smarks like more than Bray. Two, the storyline was compelling. And lastly, he was allowed to look vulnerable against Bray and susceptible to his influence. They took that storyline beyond Bray's words. When I bring up Cena, I'm not actually blaming Cena himself, but the way the company handles him. Bray lost all the big matches in that feud and he's supposed to look somewhat invincible. What gives?

Yeah, that in itself is apart of the problem with his character and lack of progression. Dude has been talking a good game for months but what exactly does he have to show for it? It's like the kid who can't wait to get on the court every day during gym who calls himself Kobe and trash talks during roll call, but when he gets out there he gets ripped and tosses up air balls. After awhile, he's going to get a collective :comeon:Goes from getting picked first, to picked last, to not picked up at all.

If his parables were followed by wins or even visible changes in his opponents, the character wouldn't be reeling or wearing as thin as it is right now.

Come on now you're holding him to an impossible standard. Ric Flair spent years and years talkin about how he was the best wrestler and how no one could compare to him and yet every time someone challenged him he had to cheat to win. Hollywood Hogan would call himself the god of wrestling and swear up and down that he could beat anyone and yet the moment someone checked him he would cower and hide behind his nWo goons. When The Rock was a heel he would talk about layin the smack down even after he got his ass handed to him the night before by that very same "jabroni".

The point is all wrestlers talk shyt. Whether they win or lose they're SUPPOSED to be feelin themselves. In Bray's case he's pretty much delivered on every promise except when it came to Cena. That was the first feud where he really "lost". And from the looks of it he's about to hand out a beating to Jericho too.

once, you job to cena as much as bray wyatt did.
you get that bobby the brain heenan effect.
after, he managed and jobbed all the time to hogan.

this is just like barrett in nxt, and brock when he returned.

you do to many jobs to cena, you watch any and all momentum subside in said prospective talent.

They should of out the belts on the Wyatt Family at MITB:yeshrug:

That's the problem with the E as a whole right now tho, the inability to really take a chance and move away from the Cena/Orton/Kane/Show retreads. Honestly Hulkamania never went this long and even then Vince was smart enough to move away from it for Warrior and the New Generation.

We aren't even in the days where ratings and buyrates matter anymore...so why aren't more chances being taken?

Can't even rely on the secondary belts to be used right, but we already know this.

The only thing wrong with Wyatt is the booking, dude still has the best theme going and his mic work is top notch. I tuned out the Cena feud after WM, if anything I'm mad we never got another real Shield/Wyatt match. The chemistry with those teams was crazy:ohlawd:

A real slept on post was made earlier though, there really aren't any captivating faces these days outside of Bryan, so any heel that is even remotely considered cool with be tweening like a mother fukker.

Sorry for the long post the decision making with this roster has me:mindblown:

You can blame TSC but its just a reflection of the bad booking habits of the company. You can say theres only 5 guys that dont like him on TSC but what's infinitely more relevant (and the real reason this thread was made) was that the CROWD actually shat on him on Monday. Thats the danger in having a heel thats over as "cool" instead of someone the people hate. When he loses that cool factor people just become bored, which is exactly what they chanted last night.

I've been critical of Bray from the beginning. He still needs to be less abstract on the mic and stop laughing after every damn line. They still should flesh out more of the Wyatts' backstory beyond just some backwoods weirdos. He still needs to probably lose 20 pounds. But all that is secondary to the real reason TSC and the crowd has cooled on Bray and again, its the shytty booking. We knew it was coming as soon as he entered a feud with Cena. shyt is a death sentence for any wrestler's push. Rusev is next.

:ohhh: :wow: My man saw it like Dionne Warwick.
