This is 100% the truth. Back then, nobody thought of Jay-Z the way people now think of him. It wasn't until "Hard Knock Life" when Jay-Z got more mainstream recognition.

He and Puffy were the main two biggest benefactors of Biggie dying.

He told yall in Vol. 1, "The City Is Mine" :troll:

I'm sorry bro but o me it was

I remember that was the first album I bought with my own money, 14 yrs old, 20 bucks went a long way then

I was expecting another dogg food, just goes to show how important that "mixed by dr dre" really is

Album was solid, it wasn't bad, but maybe 4 stand out tracks on the album total. The rest was decent

the fact that you can say you didn't like Dogg Food and then in the same breath hype up RD leads me to believe you have a shytty taste in music.

:wtf:

Im the cat that made this thread...you know, the same thread where I said Dogg Food is better than Reasonable Doubt

RRAGB had literally 4-5 songs that still bang to this day...the intro, in california, og, initiated and it might sound crazy. the rest of the album sounded redundant and kinda boring

:manny:

btw , Dillinger and Young Gotti >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>RRAGB

streetz is a mutha >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>RRAGB

"90% of people heard of jay-z because of tupac":dead:..........

:heh: you just have to laugh at that reach......

okay bruh so you tell me, in 1996, how was Jay Zs name introduced to the masses?

Was it through the 425,000 people who bought that album? :skip:

Or the 5,000,000 who heard Makaveli shyt on Jay Z (and thought, who the fukk is he?)

So nobody knew who Jayz was but PAC? Lol stop it if jay was really a nobody why did PAC even diss him? You west coast dudes are too funny you guys really mad...ts you compared a nobody person (Jayz) to death row material...somebody who according to you and your west coast friends wasn't shyt at the prime of pacs career...why do that then? Is it because jay became this huge star? But according to you kurupt who was this magical lyrical west coast savior ( who really happens to be from the east coast) who raps circles around Jayz but didn't come to 1% of the success jay had? if he was so dope what happened to him? nikkas don't lose their skills smoking dust (fatlip is a crackhead but still nice) what happened to all this talent kurupt had? Did you disappear once he ejaculated in foxy brown?
