I'm saying though. Everyone wants gangster rap back while simultaneously bringing down one of the only dudes doing it on a mainstream level at this point. All I hear is this nonsense about how he isn't real like those rappers in the 90's weren't spitting them ducktales. The only difference is the era you grew up in and your ability to allow the artist room to work their narrative. nikkas is just hypocrites

Isn't trap rap and gangsta rap pretty much the same thing. Both talk about drug dealing and killing so what's the difference. I guess gangsta rap is considered the West Coast while trap rap is the Dirty South.

Freddie Gibbs and Chief Keef aren't the same type of rapper though, although their content is considered to be "gangsta" (or is Keef 'trap'? )

One is a much more superior MC and overall artist with actual subject matter and provides social commentary of inner cities while the other perpetuates and glorifies everything that is wrong with the hood.
