I would say yes if most of these new gangsta rappers could actually rap well.

I fukks with Freddie Gibbs and Schoolboy Q, they keep it G and still got bars.

But these Chief Keefs/GBE dudes and those types.... I can hardly get through their verses. Its not like they are bringing anything new or saying anything original....

I can't even begin to start comparing these dudes to gangsta cats from the 90s like Ice Cube, Scarface, DMX, etc.... They were talking that gangsta shyt but they were dropping jewels and game on cats too.

So I would probably say no because if it made a full comeback I think the QUALITY of the music would decline

I agree, School Boy Q is the perfect prototype for a new age gangsta rapper. He is legit a crip, and he doesnt even brag or rep it as hard as some of these fake thugs were running about back in the days.
