Good albums when your'e a teenager, actually Allwegotisus has some interesting material, I'll pay that.Negro pls. Onyx first and second albums is classics.
“I’m thinc about taking my own life, I might as well, but they prolly don’t sell weed in hell”
“That’s where I’m going cuz the devils inside of me“
“shyt they gonna get it from somebody might as well be me”
song is a perfect example of early 90s hip hop trying too hard to be edgy and shocking. That shyt wasn’t natural at all. A lot of it was forced.
“Besides, they can’t tax dirty money”

Let's be honest though, Onyx was gimmick and corny too, over the top gun talk, they nailed the teenage audience though.
Definitely, Sticky is/was great, every Onyx song was essentially a 'waiting for Sticky's verse' . I still have his signature from when he worked with my pops, signed ' Sticky Fingaz, (mad face) Stay ya ass in school'.Not disagreeing with that but they were by far superior lyrically. All 3. Also Sticky was incredible lyrically and Black Trash was an even further testament. I am strictly comparing talent here not styles.

Matter of fact, Onyx birthed Flatlinerz whole style
Sticky Fingaz verse

Even funnier when omen from FL kinda almost joined gravediggaz for album 3 with shabazz per the demos for the album.Paul shopped the Gravediggaz demo directly to Russell and he passed on it. And after Wu pops and Diggaz have the Gee Street deal and are producing singles, suddenly FlatlinerZ pop up.
