Depends on how good the service is honestly. I'm not gonna be generous to a lazy/rude server, but I won't be cheap to a hard-working/kind server.

almost always 20%, [service would have to be assfukkery tragic for me to tip less]

an amazing server? no problem tipping more than 20%
my older daughter and i went to a dinner here a couple weeks ago after an appt. the waitress was amazing, we were unsure on what to order, she let us know that we could substitute this for that etc [would have never known just from the menu, she saved us lots]
i tipped her 50% .smaller bill, but she was worth it.

20% if the service was alright or decent.

0 if you irritated me in anyway. Sometimes I go in these places they act like they don't want to serve me

15% used to be the figure, but I guess inflation has mad 20% the standard. I'm okay with that. Fair is fair.

inflation has nothing to do with the percentage you leave.
the price of the meal changes with inflation, the percentage you choose to tip does not.

Of course the ATL
I don't tip. I honestly don't see the reason why I should unless the service was absolutely outstanding. And then I'd give no more than 10%.. It's not a financial situation, it's principle. I should be MOVED to pay YOU directly what you should be expecting your establishment to be paying you. Some people do it automatically and that shyt I just don't understand. It's a privilege to be tipped, not a right. :yeshrug:

Nah I disagree with this completely. Servers have an extremely difficult job, are not paid well and have the least control over your actual order. Someone is providing you a service at that restaurant, bare minimum for that service is 15% if you're not a cheap skate

I do a minimum of 20%. Can't imagine doing less than that unless it was unbelievably insulting, horrible service

But that's their fault though for remaining in a difficult job with poor wages. Why should that burden fall on me to pick up the pieces? Now don't get me wrong, I tip my Barber always without fail because we're pretty much friends and we've known each other for so long. But some random at a restaurant? I don't see the point. People at McDonald's have it hard and paid poorly but you never hear them getting tips.

McDonald's is fast food :dahell:

Why would you give a tip at a fast food restaurant? Tipping is like a service fee, you're not just paying for the service you're paying for that server's time, expertise and for helping to create a comfortable and enjoyable eating experience for you and whoever you eat with. Tips is a huge part of how waiters and waitresses make money, that's their pay structure (:mjlol: at blaming a low wage worker for having a low paying job, but then be a cheap skate ya damn self)

It's clear you enjoy being actively ignorant on this breh :camby:

Depends on the service and while making frequent trips to my table to see if everything is good is excellent, some do that too much.
