I don't agree.
If anything Durant should be held to higher standards as the presumable MVP of the NBA a multiple scoring champ.
If your in the convo as "BEST PLAYER IN THE GAME" with many people saying that you in fact ARE, then you need different standards.
I never liked the whole "judge individuales on team success" either. But FAIR IS FAIR.
Bron was catching it by year 7. With a WEAKER supporting cast.
people want durant to be better then bron
the reality is, he isnt becuase hes a flawed player
exactlyOnly compared to the god tier players like Lebron and Jordan though.

Its crazy how long people have overlooked this issue in his game... He is terrible at moving to get openWhen durant doesn't get the ball on the first look....he gives up on trying to get open...he just waves off the ball handler and stands wherever he is....then his defensive effort is non existing....no play making either....if he doesn't get a jump shot off the nikka disappears instantly...If Bron scores 15 best believe he is out there guarding the opposing teams best player and making plays for his teammates...
you nikkas wanna put him up there with Bron well treat him just like yall treat LBJ when he has a bad game...

Dwight get grilled for acting like a bytch more so than not winning. His team went from prohibitive favorite to a quickly dispatched 7 seed and "will he or won't" he was the overriding narrative. Similar thing with Melo this year...his team missing the playoffs in a weak east is buried by "is he gonna stay in NY". There failures aren't constantly hanging over their heads like guys want it to be for Durant and he's younger and more accomplished/consistent.

It's because none of those other dudes are even remotely close to being a threat to LBJ than KD.It's hilarious how everybody is so determined to just skip Melo and Dwight. It's their turn to catch the "can he get over the hump?" heat. Even CP3 (who is a PG and entered the L after both of those guys) has started to catch that shyt. If we are being consistent the heat should be on those guys. Instead it's cool for and opposing big to drop 40 in back to back home Ls against Dwight. Where Melo is going this summer is a bigger story than his team missing the playoffs in a weak conference. Meanwhile KD who has done more than any of those guys both individually and team wise in less time is the guy everybody wants to see fried.![]()

Was Barkley or Ewing or Malone close to being a threat to Mike? They still wear that "no rings" shyt. People need to stop coming up with this different rules because they don't want to be consistent with this shyt. It's silly to begin with but to change the rules based on who we are talking about just takes it to another level of stupidity.
stans mad because there is someone perceived to be on his heels. Kobe stans were doing the same thing when lebron was overtaking him. Durant prob won't get to the level of overtaking bron until he's out of his prime thoughBut we aren't talking about Lebron. We are talking about these other superstars who people want to just skip over in order to shyt on Durant. If Kobe hadn't won his ring without Shaq or the big 3 in Boston hadnt' gotten there rings the heat on Bron wouldn't have been intense. It was his turn. People didn't just skip over guys who had been in the league before him in order to shyt on him.

KD is not a polarizing player so casual fans don't care enough for media to go all out. Lebron on the other hand is one of the most polarizing athlete ever. You either like Bron or hate Bron but with KD itsStop with this "turn" bullshyt.
If Durant is truly Brons rival then he needs to be held to the SAME standard, you can't have it one way one day, then switch it up the next.
And for you to act like Dwight doesn't catch hell when he plays poorly is a flat out JOKE breh.![]()
. Like back in the 90s Barkley was polarizing but know body really cared what karl malone did so media could care less.nobody*KD is not a polarizing player so casual fans don't care enough for media to go all out.
