Wall is a more traditional point guard now though and plays with maturity. He's not better than Curry nor do I think he'll ever be, but he might be able to co-exist with any player or team because of the way he plays, he doesn't need the ball to be effective and controls tempo well.

He's been pretty bad these playoffs, its been disappointing... Hopefully he pulls it together in the next 2 games.. I don't mind the missed jumpers, that's always been a weakness, but he can't turn the ball over like he's been doing and needs to be much more consistent defensively...

pretty much.

Just hope he realize how far away he is, but also how close he is and works on the weaknesses this summer.

wall has never in his life been better than curry

When he reaches his full potential he'll be a better point guard than Curry will ever be able to. I think Curry has hit his ceiling. Curry is a great scorer but a mediocre point guard at best. Yeah, he gets his assists just because of his ability to penetrate and find people in transition, but he just makes too many dumbass mistakes over and over. A great point guard can't do that shyt.

Curry being the entire offensive push for a largely inefficient team in GS wins games. Wall is absolutely and indefensibly useless in a half-court scenario against any mediocre defensive team. Curry turns the ball over. Sure. But that's because he's basically Bizarro D Wade in GS. He's everything and his usage is insane but he gets his entire moving when they like it or not (or when Jackson is calling Isos for Iguodala and Barnes like a retard).

Meanwhile, John Wall spent the first three years in the league taking horrible shots that may as well be turnovers, finishing weak as hell, or passing the ball late to teammates and watching them miss in order to protect his numbers. He's doing the Marbury but being humble about it. The thing is, Washingon has surrounded him with every tool a young PG needs to succeed - shooters all over the court, physical bigs that know how to finish, guys that know how to run - and he's straight mediocre and flashy. That's it. Kyrie, Teague, MCW, Curry would all put the Wizards in a better situation than Wall does currently.

Bradley Beal is 20 years old and has stiff slashing ability, a tendency to overdribble while waiting for his PnR game to set up, and forces plays to develop instead of forcing the fact that he's a good player on defenses and there are dozens of times a year where he looks better running the offense than Wall in every imaginable way. That's just ridiculous considering how much more time Wall has had to learn the game and work with his teammates.

Wall is the PG version of Rudy Gay. Where dudes in the barbershop will yell from the treetops that he's the sleeper don of the NBA or something. He really ain't shyt but flash and fraud PG numbers... dude belongs on same list as Marbury, Monta, Franchise, Arenas, etc. I guess that's cool though. If you're into that sort of thing. :mjlol:

The fact is the Wizards got better and it made it easier for him, no shyt. They were a horrible, horrible team that had zero identity and zero cohesiveness.

Wall's shooting got better, and no shyt, the team got better and so did his numbers.

Curry is a great scorer, but his decisions are retarded a lot of the time. Yep, half the time Golden State looks incredible because he's shooting the ball well and making a nice pass (He's a great passer, but a poor decisionmaker, they're not the same thing), but when the game slows dow't falling, it's hard to watch. Considering you're quick to point out how inefficient GSW is, no shyt, looks who running things on the floor, but to be fair, there's not as much motion in that offense as it should have. Too much watching, too much isoball. If you ran an offense where people are constantly mobile and not trying to standaround, I think that would make Curry's job easier.

Wall is only 23 years old and this is the first full year where he's had a chance to really get into the flow of things.

Late last season when the wizards were absolute dogshyt, they were going on the road and beating people as double digit underdogs because Wall and Beal were playing lights out.

If you're judging him on these recent playoff games, it's not a great reason to criticize him. Washington has been the most undervalued team in the entire league imo all season and it's largely been how him and Beal have played, and frankly, Washington has all of the tools to be a complete team, they just need more time for Wall and Beal to grow n/h.

Wall is 23 years old. 23. He's going to become exponentially better with experience.

ANd just because you're the catalyst for an offense doesn't mean you have to make stupid decisions. Curry's importance is not an excuse. He can't run an offense, he's a great one-on-one scorer, but if you remember when Jarrett Jack was on the team, he was the guy handling the ball in the waning minutes and controlling everything and although he would sometimes take really stupid long two-pointers, he was better at controlling clock and holding the ball than curry.

I understand that Curry is a catalyst for GSW, and I think he does a pretty good job for what he's given, but they're never winning shyt playing the way they do with him doing everything.

I like Curry but a lot of the criticism as far as being flashy for no reason is shyt you can just easily throw in Curry's lap, but hey, he shoots tough shots and makes a lot of them, has light skin and beautiful eyes so he gets a pass.

Wall was immature, over valued, and didn't care about basketball in his earlier years. Late last season was the first time I saw him looking engaged and ready to play, and a lot of it is thanks to the fact the team put seasoned vets around him and improved the roster, AND his growth n/h as a man.

He seems less focused on partying and looking dumb, and all of the attention Kyrie was getting seemed to push him to be better.

From here on out he's going to get better. If 3-4 years from now he's still doing the same stupid shyt, by all means, go for it, rip him apart, but I think he has a higher ceiling as far as running an offense and playing both sides of the ball than Curry ever will have, but I'm going to judge him from the games I saw throughout the season where they looked great rather than a handful of games where your weaknesses and tendencies are under a microscope, and motivation plays a big factor as well.
