i'm calling it right now, and i'm willing to put up all of my coli cash to back this claim. mastermind will be the best release of the year, and self-made 3 might be a runner-up. i've listened to everything that's come out - kanye's yeezus, cole's born sinner, wale's the gifted, and now jayz's magna carta holy grail. all of these dudes are lost. they're swerving into lanes that they shouldn't be in. kanye's album was schizophrenic. cole's put me to sleep. wale's is yet another album for ladies masquerading as one for the fellas. and jay-z's shows that he's still obsessed with boasting about how much money he's making.

this year, ross has released several songs that go HARD. he sticks to his formula, never trying to sound different, remaining with a formula that has seen him stand as the most consistently dope artist for a shocking 5 years in a row. he might not go platinum because he doesn't try to pander to the pop crowd, but the nikka's music is undeniable.

mastermind is going to :dj2: and have us :eat:

Had he not had the seizures in 2011 and dropped God Forgives, I Don't (The original version) he would've had an even more solid grip on his position in the game.

He's a great leader and his artist development skills in 2013 are sicker than anyone. His camp has to be proud of the fact that he still invests in them.

I think he and Gucci Pucci mismanaged the meek mill debut but I'm sure they'll get his follow up right. Wale has the number 1 album in the country, Self Made 3 will more than likely be another solid compilation. Stalley is supposed to release his debut in the fall and Mastermind is dropping the Winter.

Reminds me of Old No Limit & Ca$hmoney

The 4rth quarter will belong to Drake & MMG

That Wale album was dope as shyt, but I agree with the OP that Ross is by far the most comfortable rapper in his own lane. That nikka is like raps David West. Dude isnt floating out to the three point line like other fours in the league and he doesn't try to handle the ball on the perimeter. He goes down on the block and does all of his work exactly where he's supposed to.

The White People on the coli ( @ROFL_GUY ) bytch about him not going platinum and crossing over but he sure gets the accolades of an MC who has done all of that

WITHOUT

Compromising his sound or alienating his predominantly African American fan base
