REAL TALK: The New Day Need A Gimmick Change

Yes, they need to slowly start switching it up before they reach the point of no return. Unfortunately, their merch sales is going to keep them in the cotton candy colored, unicorn loving attire for awhile.

Once something makes money, Vince will run it into the ground. And stay on it until he reaches the gates of Hell.

It's gotten so goofy as to be just be entertaining segments that don't make you care about seeing them wrestle, but realistically New Day aren't going to be main eventers anyway.

Just having the fans interested in your segments nowadays is all the midcard can ask for.

Why would a team that started off lame as fukk and then got over as heels, and are continuously over every week, need a gimmick change... isn't this the same thing people complained about when Barrett got over with the "Bad News" gimmick and then they took it away, or when Cody's "facemask" gimmick got axed?

criticism does not mean a heel turn.. by and large most of us still enjoy them, they just have to tone it down and creative needs to stop using them as a crutch

I disagree. They were so good at one point about 5 or 6 months ago, that they were absolutely the most over thing on the roster and could've main evented anything

Also agree that they need a rival who is as engaging as they are. Lucha Dragons are good but not as charismatic and nobody really gives a fukk about The Usos that much (I like them though). They need a proper rival.

The people they are hiring ain't exactly lighting it up either, though.

They definitely don't need a gimmick change...still very enjoyable and every building is popping. Just have had a few recent weeks where things were obviously forced. But that's what always happens when something works in WWE. *fandangos*

I can honestly say I didn't like them when they were overly earnest positivity pushing lames and I never bought into the cornball goofy comedy act shyt either.
I still have the same low opinion of them I had from Day One.

Nah in a perfect world, New Day would be doing a promo about how they beat every team in the division... and now they're retiring the belts to do something silly. Drawing major heat... And Enzo and Cass come out and set it off... Them dudes could get each other over so well. Promo and Ring Chemistry makes perfect sense. I'd even let E&C, win the belts in a false finish. Another ref comes out and says Carmella interfered , reverse the decision. Then they go over at Mania.
