I remember back in the day, there used to be all kinds of drug-free commercials on TV, on the billboards, and on radio. With rappers wither telling people not to use it, or selling it to bums that they make fun of on records.

I don't see them commercials anymore. :demonic: Plus rappers nowadays glorify being high 24/7, popping pills at parties, and rocking bright clothes. shyt's a setup for the weak minded to fail at life.

i dont see how any grown man can take a step back, observe the influence of rap among the youth and disagree. today, rap is pretty much the representation of blacks. black men are viewed as violent, materialistic gang banging thugs who will fukk any and everything mainly because of how we portray ourselves in rap. black women are viewed as golddigging, booty twerkers who only go for "ballers and shot-callers" fukk most rap music

Not that hypermasculine shyt anymore, cause that went out the window in the mainstream level when Obama got elected. Now, its all about tricking on hoes, getting high on drugs, and blowing money on French clothing brands that they cannot pronounce.

fukk this nikka and his grandmother but let's not act like this is a lie...

Long as it's done with a level of skill & good production, I'm all for the ignorant shyt tho. Most rappers who articulate on certain songs, opposed to being "Chief Keef" types, aren't what's really wrong with the culture. I'd take Wu or (to name a newer artist) Nipsey Hussle over Three Six or Fredo Santana any day...Not to say that all their music is garbage, but if we're takling who influences the youth more, or the types of rappers that do, let's be honest.

A lot of that 90's era rap was built around rappers doing wet, snorting coke, smoking weed, & drinking 40's and that's considered the golden era by 80's babies. In fact, those drugs were so prolific in our communities and in the music that most Hip Hop fans barely consider them to be drugs.
