Real Talk: Why did everyone (including myself) sleep on the Red Album?

I'll be fair on Kendrick Lamar, I don't like him to begin with

But how the fukk was the Red Album not better than that simp ass Drake album? How many of those songs are even Grown man music?

Coo. You're not alone.

But for the Drake part, you're arguing opinion there. Some people can dig what Drake brings to the table, some don't. If you already don't like that type of music, it's kinda hard to rate that album with fair judgement. That's like me saying I'm not a fan of conscious music because I feel that they're too preachy or whatever, yet I'm still rating every conscious song I hear as being trash anyway. It's not fair. My opinion would be better off reserved for something that I actually like.

Now, coming from a guy who DOES likes R&B and "simp" music, I think Drake did it well. But again, that's just an opinion. I would bring some reviews and ratings to the thread, but I'm horribly lazy right now. You're smart tho. You get what I'm tryna say breh.

I didn't sleep on shyt. Thought it was a good album production wise, but Game was just too fukking corny on that. Still listenable though, especially Kendrick's classic verse on "The City" There's a hook on the album where it's whole premise is name-dropping

This album was fukking horrible. The Documentary is a much better argument for a classic Game album. Doctor's Advocate to an extent to. RED was hilariously mediocre.

Coulda been the track, coulda been the alcohol, coulda been a combination of the two. All I know is that I can't listen to this joint without feeling a little more aggressive afterwards. Track is hard as fukk.

The reason nikkas sleep on the album though OP is because there's too much filler on it. But like you said, there are a bunch of bangers on that joint.
