The carrot on a stick.:upsetfavre: You'll stay up a hour to get that last item bonus. You'll stay up a hour to farm mats. You'll stay up a hour to get that gold. Warcraft & SOCOM fukked me up.:francis:
:lawd:Farming materials, selling cheap materials in bulk to get rare materials...eventually finish the items, target a new one.

I cant do that shyt anymore since i did it so much as a kid, but man farming junk was such a time sink, especially if the games economy attracted the most sellers at very specific times of day.

Used to have excel spreadsheets of mothafukkas to know when they would come online and what it is I want to buy from them:russ:

The Fukk is all these abbreviations, had me confused until a few post in. I can't play video games anymore. They're too complex, which destroys the fun and replay value to me. Graphics don't even match up to the times in my opinion. Like it's 2016, and this is all we getting for a $500 machine?

My only soft addictions are coffee and thecoli/comments sections on Disqus. I'm in denial cause I could be doing worst, and it's nothing compared to what other people get into (in my head). Caffeine makes me want to punch people in the face tho. Like I literally went to the mall yesterday on an empty stomach and 4 cups of coffee, was about to play the knockout game.

I had a dude in my guild like you. He wouldn't raid or PVP much, he was only for his Wolf of Wall Street shyt.:heh: Would tell me when to put materials on the auction house, what time to farm materials and did nothing but farm hardcore. He was the Rothschild family of our server.:pachaha:

Yup, I was that guy. Rarely pvp, was also solo doing PVE and trying to come up on new items. Playing the market was just as fun to me as anything else. Expansion pack comes out with new items? Time to grind it, not so I can sell it, but so I can be one of the rare few with one.

Breh for 2 years in a row, i stayed in my room during the christmas holiday running an instance hundreds of times to get a miniature polar bear, one of the top 10 most expensive items in the game that still dropped:russ:

Mmos bring out immense amounts of avarice in me, when im not like that at all in real life.

Back in the day, Ragnarok Online was my addiction. Although that was high school and early college days.

Played Warcraft for a cool minute but it was boring,

Moved on to Final Fantasy 14 which was the last mmo I played and finally put it down after I made it to the end of the first expansion.

I could see how "true" gamers might be addicted but I have way too much going on in my life to sit in front a game for 6,7,and 8 hours at a time. Some folk in Korea be dying from shyt like that.

I played the fukk out of Runescape back in middle school. :takedat:

That game was messed up cause when you die in certain areas you end up dropping all your gear and shyt.

I ended up quitting because this bytch I played with at school said she'd cyber with me, lured me into a cave she knew I wasn't ready for, and waited until I got fukked up by some goons so she could steal all my shyt. :stopitslime:

I was so upset. :mjlol:

I was addicted to WOW for some years. I used to play all day, even at work. Even during holidays, people had parties and stuff, I always found excuses and stayed home playing all night.

I was addicted to MUDs... :mjcry:

From 9 yrs old to 14 yrs old.

I remember people thought I was in my late twenties when I was ten yrs old because I actually was one of the most powerful players on a MUD named Dead Of Night, my name was Yoshiyuki and I was a vampire warrior/mage. I spent enough time on there and became a builder (a person who creates environments, items, quests etc).

I was a part of a small guild, forgot the name, but there was a NPC (non playable character) that had the BEST set of armor and weapons in the MUD, but as soon as you killed him- the items would disappear before you could pick them up. I found a loophole and had summoned a zombie follower to fight the NPC with me. Seemed that the items would only disappear if a PC (player character) delivered the killing blow, so I got the NPC all the way down to its last bit of health, then let the zombie finish him off.

VOILA!

Before long, my whole guild had all of the best sets of weapons and armor, and we were undefeatable for about... two days :mjlol:

fukkin' creator of the MUD found out about what I had did and took all the armor and weapons away. He commended me though for finding out how to get it. :obama:
