:sadcam:Damn...

Me and some upper management have been going back and forth since the beginning of the year. So today we had a meeting with my immediate sup, the ops manager, and the HR bytch. It was to simply be a meeting of the minds and I got fired for making "racist remarks".

Me, my sup, and the ops manager had a meeting last week about some concerns they had with me and I felt I was being attacked for no reason. My sup was coming at me sideways and I told him he might as well paint his face black, smash a watermelon piece in his face, and start tap dancing because I expected more out of a brotha. Then I got to the ops manager and told him I felt he was racist and pointed out the white workers that got away with murder but he was always in their face and patting them on the back.

So... I know this shyt is about to get ugly. I have enough bread put away to pay my mortgage, car note, and car insurance for a year but factoring in utilities, cable & internet, and food it gets cut to maybe 10 months. I think I should get unemployment but that's no guarantee...

fukk!
Sucks, but next time you'll remember to never give into your knee-jerk impulses when it comes to confrontation. Cooler heads always prevail. It's only cliché because it's the truth.

Try saying something nice to someone you hate. I make sure to do this at least once every day. It's the first thing I do when I feel like I'm on the brink.

A warm gaze and a "Hey, I like your pants," with just a hint of a smile goes a long way to enhancing your pay...

Know your audience, know your environment.

If your office is younger, more chatty, and really laid back then complimenting clothing choices is probably going to be safe. If someone is wearing bright red skinny chinos then chances are you're clear to say "nice pants." If someone is wearing a pair of toritse shell sunglasses then you're clear to compliment their glasses. Shoes are always a safe bet, too. Genuine compliments are way better than fake ones and people always like a warm hearted complement.

If your workplace is super conservative then you probably just want to stick to saying nice things about the weather. Still, make sure to make your face warm, glowing, and inviting when you do speak to the person. Always remember to take a deep breath before doing this so that you're cool, calm, and collected. If you're doing it right the exchange will actually mellow you out and enhance your standing with the person. Keep up the positivity and potentially you may even find yourself just chit chatting away with a person that was once an enemy.

Sexual Harassment is more of a comfort issue than it is a sexual issue these days. It's been a while since men have been smacking secretaries in the ass in the office. The moment you make someone uncomfortable you're opening your self up to a visit from HR. That's why you keep exchanges brief and pleasant. You want the exchange to take place because you want to erase any bad blood, you do this by having the exchange be pleasant. You want the exchange to be brief because familiarity breeds contempt.

Another way to get on someone's good side is to ask them for advice. Ask them a good book to read or ask them for a tip on something that they're known for doing really well.

But yeah, ya boy will NOT be getting Herman Cain'd any time soon. I keep my hands to myself...

Whats the reasoning behind this?

1. If you are an underperformed and are trying to jump ship before you get release, and hoodwink another group within the company these managers need to talk so cancer doesnt transfer from one group to another

Really!

Your current manager can basically sabotage you from progressing.

I see so many faults with this system from the employee perspective

This and not applying within the company. Shouldve got out while you were considered to be in the 95th percentile
