Christmas is coming early on MTV. The 30th season of The Real World premieres on Dec. 16, and just as last season's Ex-plosion twist was tailor-made for TV drama, this time around the housemates once again will not be able to escape their pasts.

Real World: Skeletons will start like any other season — seven strangers move into a former nightclub-turned-loft in Chicago. All will be hunky-dory until their secrets and unresolved issues come knocking on the door. While last season saw exes move into the house, this one will have the cast facing people from their pasts — family members, foes, or former flames.

Case in point: Roommate Bruno Bettencourt from East Providence, Rhode Island, will be getting a visit from his estranged brother, Briah. The siblings haven't spoken in three years, when a petty fight erupted into a shouting match and ended with Briah telling Bruno that he wished he had died in the car accident that nearly killed him. Yikes! Can't say we'd be too excited if he knocked on our door either.

About that car accident — Bruno's near-death disaster happened after he was arguing with a girlfriend, stormed out of the house in a rage, and was hit by a car going almost 50 mph. According to his bio, he now "wears his scars proudly like a tattoo." But Bruno's problems don't end with his accident, temper, and brother drama. The 24-year-old, who was born in Portugal, has a sour relationship with his father and was bullied as a child when he moved to the United States and couldn't speak English very well.

But, hey, he once had a pet cow. So there's that.

"No one wants their worst enemy or embarrassing past moving in with them, but by facing your past you actually grow, and that growth, however painful it may be, is what makes this season of The Real World so watchable," Jonathan Murray, the show's creator and executive producer, promised.

The Real World: Skeletons premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 10 p.m. on MTV.

Bruno, 24 East Providence, Rhode Island A stylish and sensitive ladies' man, Bruno is a Portuguese transplant with old-fashioned values, a tough exterior and explosive temper. This stubborn macho man hasn't spoken to his brother in three years after a petty argument became an angry confrontation.

Sylvia, 25 Kansas City, Missouri
A sassy Mexican-American bombshell, this fiery hot-tempered bartender is a serial dater with a "roster" of men back home. Damaged by the abandonment of her step-father, Sylvia is an emotional girl who longs to find love but often gravitates towards dysfunctional romantic relationships.

Jason, 24 Raleigh, North Carolina
This charming ladykiller has just lost his job as a car salesman; and Real World comes at just the right time to determine his next step in life. Raised by his mom after she gave birth to him at 19, Jason has never known his father. Money has always been tight; and if there's one lesson he learned from his father it's that he'll never walk out on his own child.

Madison, 23 Austin, Texas
This flirty, gorgeous yet naïve blonde with the bubbly personality is known for stealing guys' hearts. After recovering from a six-year battle with drug addiction, Madison now describes herself as a "newborn;" looking to build close female friendships, and finding herself again.

Nicole, 23 Staten Island, New York
Aggressive and loud, with a thick Staten Island accent, this is the first time Nicole has been away from her home and her triplet sisters. Extremely competitive, she works as an EMT "saving lives" and as a single lesbian she claims she can "steal your girlfriend."

Tony, 25 Folsom, Louisiana
A handsome Southern charmer with a killer smile, Tony's weakness is women. A chemical plant worker, he has the habit of not being able to be faithful to one girl—resulting in a trail of broken hearts.

Violetta, 23 Sarasota, Florida
An immigrant beauty from Moldova, you either hate or love this brash and outgoing partier who never holds back from giving her opinion—no matter who gets hurt by her comments. A self-described former fat girl who was bullied in high school, she turned the tables on her enemies and became a hard-edged bully herself.

Real World: Skeletons premieres on December 16, 2014 at 10 pm on MTV.

It sounds like a stupid ass overdramatic reality show. :dwillhuh:

I can almost see the dramatic pauses and the exaggerated arguments... I bet they swing at each other at least once on some emotional shyt.

They rarely show the first 6-7 seasons because you wuld really get to see how progressively bad (and scripted) this show has gotten. The Real World was an innovative piece of social commentary back then, but that shyt is BEYOND played at this point. They really need to end this bullshyt. :rudy:
