REALLY, THO..TECH N9NE DROPPED THE BEST RAP ALBUM THIS YEAR

SO FAR, NOBODY IS FUCIN WITH "SOMETHIN ELSE"....TRUST ME, I HAVEN'T BEEN FUCIN WIT TECH'S RECENT SHIET MYSELF..."ALL 6S AND 7S" WAS HIT AND MISS AND HIS RECENT EPS AND COLLABO ALBUMS HAVE BEEN FULL OF FILLER AND JUGGALLO FRIENDLY ROCK SONGS.....BUT THIS "SOMETHIN ELSE" RIGHT HERE, BOY...THAT SHIET IS THE GO. HIS BEST WORK IN YEARS AND DEFINITELY DESERVES A LOT MORE ATTENTION AROUND THESE PARTS THAN IT'S BEEN GETTING

most people feel like kdot had the best verse, and even a lot of haters thought the same. I don't want to take anything away from tech because I'm a fan, but that album was decent at best

I'm a technician but this album was pretty bad tbh, he got lyrically destroyed by almost every big feature

all the features talked about more things than him and they did it with less words.
tech had a good flow on that album but he filled his lines with random words.

Not even fukking close. This is his worst solo album since (coincidentally) The Worst. No dark songs, very few bangers, mostly corny emotional joints and awkward party/sex songs. It's basically just a worse version of All 6's & 7's. Also, a lot of his verses on the album are just rambling multi syllabic nonsense. Every album of his has it's share of those negatives, but this has more of them than usual, and the good songs on this album aren't even as good as the best songs on previous albums because he isn't as skilled or as creative as he used to be.

As for ranking this with his other albums, this is way below Anghellic, KOD (and the EP's from that era), Absolute Power, Everready and Killer.

cats on here talk about being Technicians but hate on Something Else? i agree with some of the criticisms like a lot of the flows & syllable stacking is very similar to All 6's & 7's (and recent EP's) but it's a dope album IMO. what's wrong with introspective emotional joints? I'm Not A Saint, Fragile, Burn the World, Believe, etc if you're not feelin Straight Out The Gate then i feel sorry for you, maybe the heavier rock influence on the beats is throwing people off, better stay away from the next EP

bruh. i fukks with tech 9 heavy. but the new album want that good. and how did u expect kendrick to rap on that track? i know u love Tech, but u cant get so emotional and upset simply because some people dont agree with u fam

Honestly, its my least favorite Tech Album. Still a solid CD, but was just underwhelmingfor the most part. Its still probably the album I listened to most thks year due to me being a Tech N9ne fanatic. My main beef is he doesn't seem to be giving it his all, and in that I don't mean he's phoning it in, it just was too many songs where he had only 1 verse or if he did have all three verses, the third verse was usually just a short few bar verse. Still, I appreciated the album actually being something different from Tech. L
