Im not defending it at all, i didnt even cop the first 1. I got it for free. I was just wondering how a pc release could be considered a L when it was marketed as a holiday exclusive. If they were smart, they should have released in February.
Which is why it was moronic that they would shell out bread for Tomb Raider and it's "Holiday" Exclusivity.
You're answering your own question. And ON top of that, the shyt is only gonna be exclusive for another month. How is that a W from a business perspective? For either Square Enix or Microsoft? Sure the consumers who own and Xbox get a win, but from a business standpoint, the deal reeked of a flop from day 1.
Don't forget Black Ops 3 and Halo. This winter has been haymaker after haymaker of dope games.Well any game would flop next to fukking star wars battlefront and fallout 4 lol wtf

It was spring from what I read. I don't kno where people getting Jan fromAmazon has it listed as Dec. 31 2016 now.
I think that maybe it was just a mistake putting it at Jan before.![]()
It can't be "common sense" when you made up the "facts" yourself.I factor in common sense.
And my common senses are tingling and telling me that this Tomb Raider timed exclusive for MS didn't do as much as MS hoped it would do for their console. Of course I don't have MS's reports and forecasting for how much of an impact this game would have on their console sales. I'm sure you don't either.
But again, common sense tells me that if a game was a success commercially then it would be a top seller when it came out. Tomb Raider wasn't. And from what I've read, it wasn't even close.
Common sense also tells me that the entire point of making an exclusivity deal is to have be the only place that people can play a game or content for a while to garner more hardware sales. We're used to seeing these kind of deals all of the time with games/DLC... and the time frames aren't this short. Now maybe it's just a console thing, idk when it's coming out on PS4, but the fact that it's coming to PC like 2 to 3 months after it was "exclusivity" released on Xbox isn't a good look and goes against the point of having an exclusive deal in the first place.
I apologize that I used common sense to come up with my own opinion. I didn't feel like google searching shyt about this game that I have no interest in anyway. I was simply replying to a post.

A game does not have to be a top seller in order to be a financial success. Hundreds of games come out and are successful without being in the top 10. Especially in a crowded month going up against games like COD and Star Wars, etc.
Also the PC deal was already announced well before the game went on sale. It has nothing to do with the success of the game on Xbox.
Maybe you should start using Google, so you can start having an informed opinion as opposed to just making shyt up![]()
Releasing in February wouldn't mean more sales, it would just mean top of the charts because there's no other competition. I don't understand this idea that a game has to be a best seller or it's a flop. If that's the case then 99% of the games that come out are "flops"Im not defending it at all, i didnt even cop the first 1. I got it for free. Im not saying it would be a top seller, to be honest i could care less about how it sales more than it actually being a good game but im almost 100 percent sure it would sell more in February than in November.Releasing in February wouldn't mean more sales, it would just mean top of the charts because there's no other competition.
