Called it early. 2 dry personas. But people wee busy shytting on joe. They wanted them to win for spite. Once that wore off there was nothing else of value left over there. Mal need to go find a job. Rory can survive.
They weren’t that good on the Budden podcast. People don’t seem to care about them outside of the beef with Joe. Now I’m sure they have fans but obviously it’s nothing like it was when they were on that podcast. They don‘t talk about shyt interesting and them political takes were draining. Joe is the bad guy but people listen to him so they can shyt on him.. Folks act like they don’t want podcasters like Joe but they tend to be more successful off that “all publicity is good publicity” shyt. Rory and Mal aren’t those types of dudes and people don’t want to hear them.

:mjlol: it’s wild how they declining slowly but surely

They started doing like 350-500k views

Then it went down to like 150k

Now they doing like 40k

They gonna end this shyt soon
Ehh if it's

giving them something to do

providing a steady stream of income,

making relationships with people that can hook them up with other situations

creating a backlog that'll be up forever and can always build over time

I don't watch the shyt at all but there's plenty of podcast that I don't watch and they still living just fine.

Y'all get so caught up in the chase for in-the-moment attention/fame y'all ignore how much bigger a deal longevity is over everything else.

This thread and the previous thread about TDE/Reason drama are getting way more posts than his actual album thread, which wasn't even sticky'd. Tells you everything you need to know. I pride myself in completing albums I listen to whether I like them or not but even I tapped out after 9 songs. It's the most generic shyt imaginable, with some of the worst hooks you'll hear all year. You can literally hear him studying Kendrick/Cole/Drake/etc type rappers and trying to check off the boxes...without the talent or personality
The dude literally bought himself a deal lol and told on himself when he originally started pooping up saying he been rapping for 4 years :mjlol: I'm surprised he still around

This is facts

Also true in rap, guys in this very thread saying reason need to pick up a day job when he's likely made it to enough ears and have enough rapper/industry friends to have a successful career in the game elsewhere.

He may not get the same rub that he got as the "next" TDE rapper but he could easily parlay this situation into something that pays the bills.

:francis: Dude is the prime example of wrong artist to a assigned label. I tried bumping Reason and holy hell, dude is boring as all entire hell. He's basically Wale with gang ties. He's J Cole with jail tats. He's Logic with all black genes.

He will never amount to the levels of Soulo, Rock, SZA's BBL, and Lance Skiiiwalker. There's really nothing to him and for him to keep crying and moaning about his dud and mid-albums not hitting, along with TDE being incompetent assheads with marketing. Just settle for Bandcamp or just do a podcast since every failed rapper is doing such things nowadays.

Respecially tho :ehh:

He don’t really fit the Dreamville aesthetic but I think that would’ve been a better spot for him to sign

I seriously feel like dude needs a reinvention. Like I can automatically tell, he's the type of dude that has a past, but wants to move on. He's like a Stones Throw artist at best.

Imagine him actually being his true self. I'm talking spitting over some boom bap or weird wacky Madlib beats. That's what I see with dude. Not so much a gangsta type of rapper.

Just a rapper with a tough upbringing.

99% of rappers would be extremely lucky to be Russ though :patrice:
I agree with you but the Russ hate narrative has gone too far and has derailed his career even though he keeps pushing.

His fanbase is polarizing, it's not a healthy dynamic.

Reason's fanbase fukks with him, it just isn't a large fanbase, he doesn't want to add a bunch of haters shooing people away from him right now as he's likely to become independent

Facts,

Highkey he should dabble a lil in the underground since this shyt with TDE going on and hop on the wave Mavi, Mike and Navy Blue got going right now.

Madlib/Alchemist beats, just focused on rhyming fr.
