Gave it a listen from top to bottom and I like it for the most part. The highs are pretty good, Kurupt in particular, There You Have It etc. and the "lows" aren't too low but they're pretty forgettable (Bottom). If that teaser song The Soul was on it, that and Kurupt would be the 2 stand out tracks.

I wouldn't compare him to Jay Rock (even though it's a pretty easy comp.) but from a "team/squad building" perspective I don't hear much that he brings that Jay Rock doesn't.

That being said, when he gets on his punchline shyt (especially on Kurupt) he's dope as fukk so I see myself going back to this project a little and I'll be checking on him from now on to see what he does.

For B-level West Coast emcees he's WAY better than Cozz

I think Cozz is better honestly. He has more for fire/passion with his music.

Sounds like mixed reactions. I'll check it out soon but man, I'm baffled why they signed this dude based off the 1-2 songs I've heard. Nothing really sticks out, and at this point the "self conscious, introspective west coast dude" wave is kinda full of TDE isn't it?

There You Have It is a very solid debut. He spitting on this hoe, i’ll definitely be returning to it. I wouldn’t mind a SIR or Isaiah feature.

TDE just keeps adding talented MC’s to the roster.

Peeped this a couple times. Breh spitting hard, but I wasn't a huge fan of the production. This is a perfect 2018 album tho, separately some of these songs knock, but cohesively the album is average. I wonder what this would sound like with one producer doing all the work.

Took me a while to get around to this but it's pretty great. One (of many) things TDE know how to do well is full projects. Also, it's interesting how Carson rappers are so wordplay crazy
