Reason why " Work" has outclassed "Formation" in every category?

"Work" Has completely dominated "Formation"

Is this a Tidal Issue? Or does it just come down to Work being catcher and having a fie beat?

That's all it is. This isn't anything hard to think about. Work just sounds natural from Rihanna ON TOP of the beat being crazy and a impressive Drake verse.

Formation sounds like Beyoncé is trying to hard to stay relevant. Beyoncé is still the better artist here but comparing the 2 songs it's a no brainer why "Work" is outperforming "Formation"

Formation is exactly perfect for Bey stans and drag queens. For everyone else it doesn't connect and sounds forced. She really thought the hot sauce line and the red lobster line were gonna be the new hot shyt out there

I dont think Formation is on Apple music or spotify.

Then that might have something to do with it. But that's not exclusively a Tidal issue, it's a distribution issue period. Tidal is a solid service. It would be the same thing if it was released on Apple Music and not on the other 2 major streaming channels. By labeling it a Tidal issue over and over again it makes the service seem faulty.


But the bottom line is Work is 10 times better than Formation in every way

1st off, when I heard Work for the 1st time I knew it was going to be a hit.

Formation is a good record but it now has the "black" stigma over it, its no longer a carefree fun song when people (white people) hear it on the radio.


I was in the mall sat and walked into 3 major department stores, Macy, Finish line and either JC Penny or Dillards and work was playing on there sound system. A white family was walking out and the lil girls were dancing.

I was in hooters a few weeks back and Work came on, a Mexican family was in there and again, kids and the mom started dancing.


The song makes you want to move

If I was out on some beach front, and I had to choose between work or formation being played while I was relaxing.....Work all day.



Formation should have dropped closed to late April if you ask me

Number #1 songs are pretty much sing along a and have no impact musically, that's how charts work.. Think about this. Beyoncés 7/11 was a #1 song. That's her most simplistic song ever recorded
