I'm not going to post any specific reddit threads, but there was one guy that commented that he likes to drive around w/ his kids and point out businesses to them that pay under $15/hr, and inform his kids of how they are horrible businesses.

There also was a poster talking about organizing a whole bunch of people to set-up interviews with McDonalds, and then just have everyone not show up (as a way to stick it to the company).

I'm more of a centrist and I know that people on this board are also kind of split down the middle, but if you want to see how crazy people can be, then it might be an interesting subreddit to check out if you've never seen it.

Yes, there are some GOOD points to be found there, but alot of posters there are just bandwagon followers that just "want to see the system torn down/want to see the world burn".

it's actually a theory among anarchist circles, namely those similar to prison abolishment, decolonization trains of thought

I understand the principal and spirit of it, but it's more of a self-satisfactory thing that doesn't actually end up helping anyone in the long haul

I prefer more emphasis on worker own co-ops, the effects of proper unionizing efforts (like with a lot of coffee companies have had recently) then just rehashes of stuff from Occupy Wallstreet.

there's a value to work

With everything steady deteriorating by the year... how does it all end?

Does the ruling class wake up at some point, or does this turn into a French revolution type situation?

Yeah I had to stop browsing that Reddit page. It’s obvious that there are folks trying to push an agenda.

The original premise of that Reddit was basically folks quitting and exposing how corrupt and unreasonable their jobs/bosses are. I remember one dude screenshotted texts of him asking his boss for time off because of a death in the family. Boss told that nikka, “I came to work on the day of my fathers funeral.” :mjtf:

I’m not surprised though because anytime you have a movement going, it’s going to attract saboteurs who try to turn it into some other shyt. It was only a matter of time because of how fast that page is growing. It’s very popular now.

The ruling class wont wake up until they're in immediate danger.

The subreddit has the occasional interesting thread but it has gotten big enough that some crazy shyt gets posted now that does nothing to further labor interests. Kinda like how Wallstreetbets was popping off due to seeing a crack in the armor, but then people jumped on it as more of a movement and it went from informative and entertaining to entertaining to mildly interesting (no pun). I find that the best way to get something out of a subreddit is to be there before something goes viral enough to hit mainstream news.

This has been building up for a long tome. COVID was like a giant reset button. Some of it is petty AF but i love seeing the working class not being afraid anymore

fukk it if that means i have to wait a couple weeks for a package.
This. People don’t believe me when I say the inconvenience to me is worth it. I want people to get paid. If we sitting around bytching and only worried about what is in it for us, we dont get shyt.
Sure I work in IT and make more the the majority of the population but I literally cant buy with my money what I could just 10 years ago with the same check. Lets not mention 15-20 years ago. I will willingly take Ls if it means that payscales go up across the board. Prices never stopped going up so you have to be a stupid fukk in 2021 to say “just make more money.”
