Most of the "casuals" don't play their PS4 either. Hence the reason the PS4 has had some of the lowest attachment rates for a lead home console in recent memory. The PS4 has done very little to excite the masses in regards to gaming. This is part of the reason cell phone gaming has never been bigger. We can only hope Nintendo gets people excited with gaming again.

Real talk, the PS4 leading the home console race has done great harm to the industry. Purposefully gspreading lies about its own console's capabilities and games then not delivering has damaged the industry. Home console gaming has never been so lame. MS should be applauded for continuing to add innovation and money to an industry on its last legs.

Very different games. Almost like asking if Street Fighter is better than Tetris. Outside of being third person games with sneaking involved the games are nothing alike and cater to completely different audiences. Normally I would say that MGSVTPP is the greatest game ever made and troll you about it, but the last of us is special. It stands on its own. I consider it more of an experience, whereas MGSVTPP is flat out fun in the amount of ways you can take on each mission.

Hence why they're called casuals, they use their system more for media than gaming. Sony has not hurt the gaming industry because they don't make video games, your complaint is with developers who have basically phoned it in over the last decade. A lot of these "great games" now would be seen as trash back in the day. Sony has always dominated Microsoft and there's no reason to think that will ever change
