what kind of difference did you see? im planning to buy it myself now.
for my math/physics classes.

It's been years since I tried it but I do remember it working

I read allot and reading can be a bit difficult because I have trouble concentrating

But I remember not having that issue anymore when I was using that

And I didn' even use it for a long time, the results where pretty fast

There was a time where I thought supplements were what i needed to focus. So I guess I can chime in.

Over the summer of 2017 I tried Aniracetam, Modafinil, Noopept, Nitrovit(B6, b12, and a bunch of other stuff), Nitroamp(Guarana, and L-theanine) Alpha-GPC, Creatine, Caffeine pills.
In previous years I tried L-theanine, and Ginko. That's like $300 worth of supplements right there.

After all that I can safely say that your better off meditating, getting better sleep (6 or more hours),doing some regular exercise(cardio at least), and drinking more water and fixing your diet. If you ask anyone who is well versed in nootropics/supplements they will tell you to try those solutions first.

However, if your bent on taking supplements I could give you a run down of my experiences.

The best nootropic of the bunch was definitely Modafinil for me. It wont give you more focus directly(i dont believe any nootropic does that). But it allows you to focus your attention on something and dulls your inhibitions, if you get what I mean. So before you take it make sure you have your day planned. Or you'll end up spending hours doing whatever your mind was occupied with when it kicks in.
On the positive side of things. I found that I began to complete any task I've been putting off that took less than 10 minutes to get done. Say I have some problem with my records at school and for weeks I've been too lazy to do anything about it..... When I'm on Modafinil as soon as I remember about the school records, bam, im making the call, got shyt sorted out, and its over with. Now on to the next task. No hesitation, just crisp and smooth thought to action.(you can get this from meditating)
For studying, it wont make you like the subject or notes. If you hate it before Modafinil, you'll hate it while on Modfinil too. However if you decide to focus and read your notes Modifinal made it easy to stick with it.
Modafinil also seemed to give me an edge in problem solving and reaction time. Though that may be placebo. I used lumosity as a bench mark and would get slightly better scores on modafinil than if I was rested and focused my entire attention on the game. Lets say a score of 97 on mod and 93 off mod.

The bad side of things modafinil will keep you up at night if you take it too late. never past 11am, preferably as soon as you wake.
You need to drink A LOT more water on modafinil. And I dont know if modafinil makes you pee more, or if its just the extra water you drink. But be prepared to use the bathroom quite regularly. So much that your peers might wonder if you got bladder issues. I took modafinil consistently around august-september last year, and my pc muscles been week since then. Doing my kegels again should remedy that tho.

Anyway. I found with most of the nootropics that they killed my creativity. With creativity being one of my most treasured traits, nootropics, tho good for a function, made me feel unlike myself. I believe they limit you by forcing your body to focus on using one part of your consciousness. Not in a left or right brain kind of sense. Lets say you take something for focus with emphasis on math and logic. When your out socializing you will find that your not naturally witty anymore, your best jokes aren't coming naturally again, you have to focus and try really hard to think of them and tap into that side of your mind. It's as if your mind is just focused on being logical and is more rigid.

This is why I believe meditation, sleep, and living a healthier lifestyle will do you better. Yes it is harder, but the benefits are much greater. I'm currently falling short in doing most of those. But trust me, when your doing those on a consistent basis, you'll have a level of clarity and energy that no nootropic can rival, only attempt to imitate.

Feel free to ask any more questions about it. I only come on here every blue moon. But still, you should research heavily before you take any nootropic. Go on reddit, yes reddit! Information is valuable no matter who it comes from. Especially since subreddits like /Modafinil , /Nootropics, etc have lots or resources and people sharing their experiences and studies on Nootropics!
If you want me to talk about another nootropic I took then just ask.

If your looking at strictly natural supplements, ginko and l-theanine are great. Ginko helps greatly with memory. L-theanine just helps you let loose.

Summary: Drink more water, get better sleep, meditate, exercise, eat healthier food, reap the rewards of feeling amazing 24/7

A great resource for learning meditation is "Success through stillness" by Russel Simmons. Just download the audio book and listen to it during the day.

Good luck breh

yeah definitely, I dont think anyone could argue against that

supplements are just that, supplements....they're supposed to supplement/compliment a healthy lifestyle already

yeah I definitely believe that. I actually tried meditating for a while but I just didn't have the patience for it.

The product that I talked about in my op, Alpha Brain, has a video up where they broke down the science behind their clinical study findings

and in the video, the dude who conducted the study passingly claimed that no benefits was found from Ginkgo, which is interesting cause its such a popular supplement.

And that actually doesnt suprise me either cause I used it for a long time and I never felt like I got anything out of it.

Thread full of sissy ass nikka needing shortcuts to get shyt done. If u are struggling with school material and concentrating then starting making sure that your life outside of academics is in order and not distracting u. Second, fix your diet and eat healthy! No pills are a substitute for a balanced diet to ensure your body is working in unisence with your mind. Third, drink 3 liters of water a day and get PLENTY of sleep.

Do this shyt for one month straight and tell me how your life and productivity did a 180 afterwards.

Bmore stand up!
Was up yall, I need some recommendations.

I have a accelerated school program coming up in a few months and I'm looking for supplements

that will enhance memory and concentration.

Recommend me if yall know of any. :tu:

I'm already familiar with Ginkgo Biloba and will be trying that, and I already take Fish Oil :tu:

p.s on a side note, about two years ago on the JBO forum, someone posted up a supplement with the name Alpha5 or something that really helped me. I forgot the name of it though, if anyone knows what I'm talking about, let me know.

It’s called ashwagandha my nikka.....take this along with a regular multivitamin and maybe add a small zinc supplement if u are really physically active.....

It will take about 2 weeks before all the great benefits kick in.... but bro combine this with nofap (it’s actually designed in a way that it erases the negative effects of over “indulgence” if u feel what I’m sayin).
:usure:

You do that and your memory will be remembering/memorizing damn near EVERYTHING... your energy will be up, attention to detail will be up, concentration will go way up, testosterone will increase, stress will roll of your shoulders like is NOTHING, after taking it for 3-5 months, you’ll look younger (people have actually told me this multiple times since I been taking it).

Not to mention gym performance and overall male stamina will improve and you’ll be horny as an ex-con on his first day out, so it will indirectly benefit your sex life too.
:birdman:

it’s a great supplement, take it for 30 days straight then break from it for a week to a week and a half.... then take it again for 30 days straight again and REPEAT.
:ohlawd:

Hope this help Lil buddy

You would be surprised at the amount of people who see supplements as a fix to their problem. I mean, thats how i got involved in all this, cause I wanted a quick, definite fix.

wow, thats kind of serious
Looking back on it i'm inclined to agree with you. But just the fact that I was productive again made it worth it at the time.

I believe I was just at a low point in my life. Which was made worse because I was in america for that time period and only had access to Junk food.(Coming from a guy who eats Jamaican home cooked meals everyday) And nootropics made me feel close to myself again.

wow, that's deep
And you know the funny thing about it. Just two days prior to my post I decided to take one of my Nitrovit pills. In an effort to boost my memory before a test.
Hours after that I had the worst feeling in my stomach, like I was trying to digest something toxic. I felt so down and depressed I found it hard to even make conversation with anyone. Even with two of my best buds from highschool, one of them I haven't seen in years. The mental energy, and my social edge just wasnt there.

Makes me wonder how bad things must of been for me back then if this used to make me feel better.

yeah I definitely believe that. I actually tried meditating for a while but I just didn't have the patience for it.

Same. I was doing it twice a day for about 2 months (2 x 20 minutes). But now I fell off, and I only meditate when I'm really in need.

One tip I can give you is from Russell's book. And that's to push through it each time. If your 'mind' is going crazy and making you want to end it early, just remind your body that "your both stuck in this for the full 20 minutes, and we can either have 20 minutes of peace and relaxation, or twenty minutes of your chaos. But either way its going to be twenty minutes." After I started doing that, things started to get easier in the next couple sessions, then in some sessions it would be so peaceful i wouldn't want it to end, & there was one session that left me with this deep sense of happiness that I can only describe as a high. If I could feel that way after every meditation I would be the happiest man alive.

Also something I did occasionally was to double my time at night. So i would meditate for 40 minutes instead. I swear after doing that once, my next mediation session was a breeze. When my alarm went off I literally sat there wondering where the time went. It felt like 5 minutes had passed.

Doing it close to the time you sleep is also an option. You kinda 'sleep through the time'. Not literally, but you relax easier.

You can add some mantras at the end of each meditation and repeat each 7 times.(Just something I read online and started doing). And also during meditation visualize your exhale as if its going out that spot above where your eye brows meet. And experience the blood rush to it and the tingling sensation. But dont force the feeling, allow it to come to you and then simply sustain it.

One final tip, thought I dont do it enough. Is to start your meditation by imagining a white light shinning on/from your body. As this light slowly moves down from the top of your head, just imagine this light relaxing your body and muscles. And feel every fibre of your being relaxing. Slowly but surely. Dont be afraid to single out your features, relax your eye, your brow, your ears, everywhere. And be aware of when they get tense again, then relax them.

The product that I talked about in my op, Alpha Brain, has a video up where they broke down the science behind their clinical study findings

I'm surprised that Ginko doesn't show to have an effect. That would mean most of the memory gains from it are placebo, and at the end of the day, placebo or not, gains are gains.

It's an excellent book. Glad you were fortunate enough to find it
