Honestly, good. People don't want the government to mandate vaccines to them and on top of that, they are sick of seeing upper management, shareholders, etc. get record compensation while their wages are largely frozen. Couple that with housing prices and vehicle prices shooting up to insane levels and it's no surprise that people are starting to get testy. They are lucky things haven't turned violent, but it's why I suspect they got a lot of those troops out of Afghanistan for the things they envision about to occur on our home soil

nah, i'm talking about the joint that has the visor.
i'm not trying to rock this while welding.
how do you wear a helmet with this?

Welders usually wear their hard hats backwards so their visors can fit over their hard hats.

Bro that's a 1970s helmet lol. Modern ones have a autodark feature. You can see through them til you start welding then it automatically darkens as soon as you start the arc

i'd rather not wear anything rather than my regular helmet and covid mask.

*edit*

i don't think i mentioned it but NYS is paying for the classes as well.

The work dynamic has been unbalanced for decades. Had got to the point where employers saw themselves as doing you a favor by hiring you. Neglecting that the employer/employee relationship is 50/50.

Employees and the working class are giving business owners a wake up call. Waking them from their attitudes which had become quite smug and condescending.

Exactly people are up and quitting in every industry right now. Look at this from just today. People are tired of getting used for shyt pay and poor working conditions.

A balance reset was needed... Now it's here

Covid made people realize that they don't want to have to deal with the bullshyt of these low wage jobs. Even some of the good wage jobs. It's not that people are lazy. Many are but it's not all. In general people want to do something with their time. Living isn't cheap though. It's never been cheap, but for a short period in this nation, you could be any old rube, get a job at a spark plug factory, and make a simple modest life for you and your family, with only one person working. If it wasn't for the fact that I need my health insurance for my lower back issues, I might have gone to do boudoir photography full time.

Getting people to take those shyt jobs has been going on for months you contrarian fukk. Y'all keep pushing this dumb narrative only to be proven wrong again and again just like with the Southwest issue.

You were completely wrong about Southwest Airlines fiasco though, you fukking clown.
:mjlol:

“But Southwest said that it was because of weather, even though no other airlines had any major disruptions”

Now you Progressive dummies believe everything that these corporations have to say, huh? Yep. When it fits that narrative, you sure do.
:pachaha:

They know exactly what they need to do. Other countries put their people first and make the companies play ball if they want to do business. There is no reason why a mcdonalds worker in the netherlands or finland is getting significantly more money to do the same job than his/her american equivalent. America is the richest country on earth. There is no excuse for employees to not be getting livable wages, healthcare, and time off.

People talking about robots like McDonald’s can barely keep the ice cream machine working. What makes you think they gonna be upkeep multiple expensive robots in multiple locations. That’s not even logical.

:mjlol:

Those shake machines break by design…. The manufacturer basically has a Bobby Bonilla contract or some shyt with McDonalds…. And just you wait, a lot of fast food eateries will be 60 percent automated in about 10 years… Just keep on living….
