does anybody have any specifics on how these nikkas record?

i kno tupac used to spit his whole verses and triple up on em

i record too and i trained myself to perfect my verses because i aint a fan of dubbing...maybe its the nikkas behind the boards who cant mix right...but for example im listening to mastermind right now and all his verses have such clarity and it sounds like he spit it once with no punches or anything

ti is one of my biggest influences but i've always been able to tell exactly when he punches in on every song

I mean a lot of it has to do with cadence. TIs flow would sound unnatural. Goal of the engineer isnt to make it perfect rather its to fit it all together and make it as natural as possible.

Ross records on that sony c800 tho, hence the crispness and sheen on his vocals. Rosses vovals are also much slower amd punchier. Which lets me know his compression has a longer attack than most. So if he does punch in the compressor prolly even it out.
