most people in general want to stick with their own. and ricans consider rican men their own so thats a part of the reason even though u both may be black. in cali the only hispanics we have are from south america (mexico, Guatemala, Valenzuela,etc.) those are the ones mixed with indian and white so they have more of jlo or selena look to them. biracials see themselves as black for the most part so they dont have a problem dating black guys since they consider them their own. its way diff on the west coast.

Again, Cali, NYC, and huge metro cities don't reflect how the rest of the country operates. I'm not saying ALL light-skinned black women disregard their black side, but if she gets attention from white guys, she's usually towards brothers when it comes to dating. But even you have to admit that overall, black women are only viewed in a positive/attractive light by society if she's light skinned. Same is true for black guys. High yellow black guys aren't seen as attractive as darker guys, but African black is seen as ugly by most people, especially blacks. IDK, I just always found it funny that people talk about black pride and loving themselves, but they're all trying to look as non-black as possible

Well it's hard to be confident when everyone hates your guts and thinks you're dogshyt. I'll give you a protip, 95% of the people that are "confident" are usually confident for a reason (they're rich, attractive, popular, have a big dikk, high status, get bytches, etc...). They have positive reinforcement and that is what builds their ego.The guys that everyone picks on and bullies aren't as confident because they have constant negative reinforcement and that shapes the idea of themselves.

That's why I always laugh at PUA guys that think that just acting more confident and "alpha", or like an a$$hole, will get them more girls. No, the dude that is confident and treats girls like a dikk can get away with it because girls already find him attractive. He could actually be a "nice guy" and get girls, but they put up with his shyt cause they want his dikk. If girls aren't attracted to you, then all of your confidence is just gonna come off as creepy. Not being a p*ssy is important, but more confidence doesn't get girls, that's just shyt people say cause they they can't say girls are shallow

Not necessarily. It's not like you receive half of white privileges and half the black stigma. You're seen as black, just that your black stigma is lessened. People may crack jokes about your half-n-half status (like calling you half 'n half) but overall it's better socially to have lighter skin than darker skin. This is especially true in the south where other black people are on that crap and see themselves as better than darker blacks.

From what I've seen, if it is a girl, and she is pretty, than with the exception of black girls (since according to cac logic the only pretty black girls are the ones that have some other race mixed with them), they are seen as "white" or treated as "honorary whites", regardless of race. People may still crack racist jokes at them, and white guys may only see them as "fun" and not something serious, but most pretty girls seem to have all white friends.

Makes sense from their perspective. If you look like this, why hang with blacks when you're better off socially with cacs?

Now, the only reason lightskinned/mixed blacks get treated worst is because they are usually over exposed to white folks. They can get places that many dark skinned folks can't.
