Varmint rifle with .22 caliber bullets or the bow and arrow are your best bets.

Automatic upgrade. You should have gotten a notification that that was happening

Use the binoculars study them and if they're deers, elks, bucks or does try to chase and lasso them....it's hard but worth it.

I got lucky and bagged a perfect black bear pelt and a perfect deer pelt through a clean headshot with the rare rolling block rifle scoped from a distance.

YMMV: if you encounter someone’s camp and they have some animals strung or tied up, cut the animal down and skin it and you should get at least a good or perfect pelt.

It's funny I was trying to camp in the woods and the camp thing said you cannot camp while under attack I was like... Looked at my map there's a huge red dot getting closer and a big ass cougar came out behind the tree... I was like... activated my dead eye as it jumped at me put two in his eye... I was like... that was close...
