I regularly take out everyone no problem. The only time it was tough was heading out west as arthur got ambushed by 3 teams of 4-5 and they were hitting me on horses farther than i could.

Can you enter the west at all in the beginning or is that end only?

You can but about 8 bounty hunters show up when you cross the border
