Red Flags For People U Call “Friends”

We all know red flags in relationships...but let’s talk about people u deal with longer than most relationships...

This one to me is very important....I’d say a little more than relationships bc who u associate with or befriend can mean life or death sometimes...or dray u down in life.

We all think just cuz we drink & have fun with someone they’re ur friend...when they just tolerate u. Then u wonder why ur so called best friend set u up/smashed ya gf or ex/stole from u etc....

Here’s my list over the years....

Lies all the time...even trivial stuff
Always downing ur accomplishments (that girl u bagged wasnt even cute)
Always taking subtle shots/comments (there go big money man buying something else again)
Always humored at ur expense/ L’s...(haha, u got finessed out that deal)
Doesnt have a car
Raised by a single mother/has too many female tendencies/emotionally reactive
Hot head
Has no passion in life, wants to bum around
Doesnt strive me to do better
Scared to tell me the truth even if it pisses me off
Soft/pushover
Two faced
Gossips alot
Always asking for money
Anytime he gets a gf he dissappears/doesnt have time anymore
Tries to put u down/show off infront of females
Is a simp

With the above I can MAYBE make u an associate....but I’ll never make u an honest friend. I keep squares out my circle.

Females drop ur comments...cuz y’all are worse than dudes it seems. If I was a female I’d have like 1 female friend

Used to hang around with one guy and all his problems he put on the white man. no but if you want it you'll get it. Ain't no white man stopping me doing what I need to do.

Last I saw this guy was still living at his mothers flat, this guy is 35.

Also low key haters. I remember when I told my then 'friends' that I was moving country some of them got real salty.

Saying I'd probably be back in a year, I'd regret giving up my job in the UK, etc

Most people are about themselves, self preservation, and what suits their best interests in the long and short term.

You'll save yourself a lot of headache when you realize that outside of your immediate family (mother, father, brother, or sister) that most people are not going to have your back when life starts getting hectic.

A lot of people throw the word friend around to loosely.

You'll do good if you make 3 good friends in a lifetime. When I say friend I'm talking about someone whose house you can go sleep when you don't have anywhere else to go, someone who will buy you food when you are broke and hungry, someone who will help you get a job when you're jobless, someone whose going to come through and put money on your books or post your bail when you locked up, someone whose going to come fight beside you known both of y'all about to take an azz whipping, and such.

Most people aren't built to fool with no one who isn't their immediate family on that level.

That's me, one non- related friend. I don't have a list of red flags per se cuz it all falls under 'messy.'

If you can't control your fertility, you messy. If you always broke, you messy. If you 'dating' somebody new every time we speak, you messy. If your life ain't in order and you ain't got a plan, your shyt is messy and I'm good.

Raised by a single mother is really outta nikkas control. I give nikkas a pass and give them guidance if I fukk with them.

Im dealt with the bolded before. had a nikka up and disappear cause he got a girl. She kicked him to the curb and I took him over her place to get his shyt.
I waited in the car and while he was inside unbeknownst to me he was upstairs chocking the bytch. She called the cops and they was ready to charge
me as an accessory. Keep woman beaters outta ya circle. Should be at the top of the list

Word. No tolerance for dumb shyt and even lower tolerance for wasting my time and energy surrounded by people that I don’t fuk with or not of the right mindset.

I have to think this one through, before I respond off top. I have cut so many people throughout the years just off principle, for various reasons and I regret nothing, even though at the time I had doubts. It hurt but it was necessary. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt or a chance to show and prove. Failed.

And yes, I have 2 close female friends - day ones. That’s it.

Ive got "friends" that I've over heard talking shyt. I keep my distance and treat em accordingly. I treat em like associates. They get upset as they think I'm not being a "real friend" and being distant it's actually quite funny when you know shyt they don't know you know.

No need to address it once you pick up on it and move accordingly you'll be straight.
