They're both heavily influenced by brehs. But if if it aint your cup of tea than it is what it is. They're both the biggest rockers I can think of

Nothing against the Foo Fighters as I think they are a fantastic band.

But the Chili Peppers are a top 10 of all time band as far as my generation is concerned.

i had side stage pass to rhcp a while back.... the bottom of my feet were bruised the next day from jumping around lol
even wilder, kendrick played at the same festival and i had access to his backstage.
greatest night of my life.

theyre both terrible. i liked the chili peppers when i was younger (freaky styley, blood sugar sex magik) but i grew out of em. i do like how much love they show to george clinton and bands like the meters and sly stone

-The singer for Mr. Bungle, Mike Patton, was in Faith No More and when Epic came out Kiedis thought he was biting him. They took shots at each other throughout the 90s
-In 1999 when Californiacation came out, Mr. Bungle put out an album called California. Kiedis thought Patton was biting him again and (allegedly) got Mr. Bungle removed from different European performances that RHCP was going to headline
-Mr. Bungle then got mad and played a Halloween show where they dressed up as RHCP members (and some dead members/affiliates of the band like Rivers Phoenix), covered their songs, made a bunch of heroin jokes etc.
-Kiedis lost it and got them removed from a much bigger festival in Australia. They broke up like a year later

rhcp literally started out as a weird proto rap/p-funk band and are one of the very few white acts to blow up and continue to honor their black influences
