but those werent big ticket signings. if anything it was mid-tier value signings after cleansing themselves from big price-tag deals.

signing both hanley and pablo certainly doesnt qualify as mid-tier acquisitions

He's definitely not bad (his UZR is top 5 in the NL at his position I believe). He'll be good as long as he keeps his weight where it's at.

There is no way in the world that Hanley Ramirez deserves more money than Pablo Sandoval; the ability to perform at a high level under extreme pressure is a real and quantifiable skill. We'll see how it plays out, though.

giants screwed this up, they should of just offered it to him before the season started. they have to realize they cant compete with other teams financially when your paying lincecum 18 mil and it appears pablo is pissed at them
