Title: How to deal with a man hitting on your girlfriend?

My girlfriend got approached by one of her colleagues today who she's known for about a week. They've been friendly and she told me that he's a really nice guy. Today, he asked her to come over to chat and asked whether she'd be down to chat on the weekend? My gf was like um sure? Like text? Then he said yeah or meetup or whatever. She then said she has a boyfriend and he said that's cool. Your boyfriend is fine with you having guy friends right? She said yeah he is.

Then he said yeah I don't want every girl I hang out with to be something more, sometimes I just wanna chill and hang out. Then he asked for her socials and she gave it to him.

She told me this whole story and mentioned how awkward it was and how she didn't know what to do. Now, my thing is this - he obviously doesn't just want to be friends with her, right? I'm fine with her having guy friends but this seems like he was hitting on her and then readjusted when he found out she was taken.

Is it controlling to say hey, I don't want you to hang out with this person? I've never said that before because I don't want to be 'that guy' but at the same time idk it feels weird to me.
