How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Hopefully they're right, but I don't like this 2016-esque confidence that Trump will lose for sure. The last thing people need to be doing is getting complacent.
Although I agree with your overall warning of the danger of complacency, I’m not too worried about it in this election, because the complacency can only really come from the incumbent side. The message from jump has been “ you need to vote if you want change”, not “don’t worry Dems, we got this, stay home”. This cannot be compared to 16’, so many people in battleground states just couldn’t stomach her because of the constant lies that the media helped spread (And she still decidedly won the popular vote). The confidence here comes from the fact that Biden is 100% safer than Hillary, unless some Epstein type shyt with solid proof (and the reels of him being a creep ain’t gonna cut it) comes out between now and Nov. the Hunter “self dealing” shyt won’t fly, because the whole country has just watched Trump do it for himself for the last 3.5 years, it just doesn’t move the needle with the voters.

If you ban an entire forum, or in this case a subreddit, you're undoubtedly banning people who have not committed "hates speech". I've seen some of what get's called "hate speech" here, and if that's any indication of what's going on other platforms, then they are indeed censoring political disagreements.

Those same people who haven't posted hate speech are still able to post on other political subreddits; it's not like there aren't other conservative subreddits. Their accounts haven't been banned. :camby:

True. Then why ban the forum? Why not ban people who drop n-bombs or whatever else goes on over there? I don't use Reddit, but I imagine problems like that.

I don't think Greenwald is right about a censorship of the far left following this, necessarily. Either way, I oppose corporate censorship.

Nah. But y'all are right to recognize this as Corporate censorship for political ends. So that's something.

There are still subs for the far left and far right to exist. Chapo and The_Donald were too extreme. They deserved the hammer.

Again, I've never been there. But I do know how "racism" "race baiting" etc. have been used here at times. That is to say, unfairly to squelch political disagreement. If that's any indication of what was happening on Reddit...

I listened to some Chapo last year. They're no where near as controversial as people think. It was just basically Socialist Howard Stern with some ight takes on US politics. Never saw the subreddit so I assume they were harassing right wingers or something.

I thought you were against corporate censorship? Are you admitting that it might sometimes be warranted?

If so...what's your argument?

Have of em do not have voices for radio/podcast/other people’s eardrums. I know that shouldn’t make a difference when it comes to the substance of their content, but it does to me. I just can’t get past the corn, the whiney, lisps voices, and the bad inside jokes.

F*ck outta here. If the people from r/TD wants to spread hate speech, racism, and white nationalistic propaganda, let 'em pay for their own damn platform.

Free speech has reasonable limits; I don't know where this notion of unlimited, consequence-free speech comes from.
Ironically? Conservatives

The same ones who....believe in the Free Market and the government NOT getting involved in the affairs of a private business

This is literally the Free Market at work...the people don't want hate speech on social media platforms, and the owners of these platforms are responding to what is best for their shareholder profits
