One of the reasons could be how bad he got fukked over by the griselda label.
Stuff been kind of shaky since the shady deal. When they split from Gunn each one of them lost something. Benny has yet to make anything better than a random wsg drop.

Westside busy running around with Stove and even Estee Nack more than everyone else in the crew. The biggest beneficiary of being associated with Griselda in the last 5-6 years has been of all people, Conductor.
Even with Boldy and Rome, it feels like they're affiliated instead of truly being GxFR (both of them have dropped exactly 1 project officially on Griselda each, and Boldy's dropped 1500 tapes since joining. Speaking of Nack, Nack and Mach-Hommy have as any projects on Griselda as both these guys do).

Chatty patty speculation post warning I get the impression that Conway has what we would call today “mental health issues”… originally he was supposed to be the “star” of Griselda…Gunn was the exec and Benny wasn’t even originally part of the play…and once Benny joined and kinda got the most buzz for that moment, it shifted the dynamic and Conway felt a way…and shyt been iffy with them every since…plus whatever “who gets paid what” shyt that might’ve went on with Gunn being the boss and principle of Griselda proper ..it all kinda seems like cliche rap crew shyt from the outside looking in…musically they’d be better off with Gunn running shyt, but the other two resent being treated as just talent…Gunn has gotten jaded by it all and has started focusing more on wrestling lol

Is Benny really that much bigger than Conway though? Probably a little but it's hardly a huge gap, even when Benny had momentum a few years ago. It's not one of these examples of a rapper outgrowing his crew in popularity. They're both essentially underground rappers with niche but dedicated audiences. Benny got his Def Jam deal but he bombed bad. It ain't like Conway is playing smell venues watching in bitterness as Benny has become a superstar.
