If Redman had 4 if the Top 10 Hip Hop albums of all time, he wouldn't be underrated. He'd easily be ine if thise generic names that regularly appear in a Top 1-3 and even they don't have 4 Top 10 all time great Hip Hop albums even arguably.

400 Degreez

It was worse on Malpractice, yes, but very much a problem here too

:ehh:

The only issue i see people having with Doc is the production was a much more lighter version of Muddy Waters.

He still was spitting sharp, the production just isn’t as hard but that album is still elite Redman

He fell off after and got super lazy with Malpractice though

I get why most frown upon Doc coming off the heels of the previous albums but it’s a great album

I notice certain Kendrick Fans on this forum are alot like white Eminem fans. Where hes the best to ever exist and previous generations of rappers are wack.

:russ:

Some of what it is the era we in. It really ain’t no emcees really putting a dent in hip hop like that so he (Lamar) stands out when there’s nobody else

i love Redman but doc da name a top 10 album?:patrice:

It stands the test of time :banderas:

I think people forget how hard Red was still spitting and the beats still was funky

When people think of 98’ these days, they usually only think of Jay, Pun, OutKast, No Limit, L Boogie and a few others these days but Red was among the elite back then

I mean the production is a critical part of the whole package. There were only five or six memorable songs on the whole album, and one of them was a remake lol

True

But I ain’t got no beef with the production on there

I’m curious to know, which songs you like on there?

The Ice Cube remake is classic
