Red speaking on def jam and how they treat they artists.. he raised a couple of good questions but it was obvious that he kept his yap shut on much of the things he wanted to say..
they're doing him dirty but Redman is kind of talking like a hoe at this point (and i got love for red).
could you imagine being famous and having some fukker at the security desk taking his slow ass time typing your name onto a visitor's label while reading your driver's licensedead @ Redman with his government name on a visitor passcould you imagine being famous and having some fukker at the security desk taking his slow ass time typing your name onto a visitor's label while reading your driver's license
he's basically saying "I made you this hot, you wouldn't be shyt if it wasn't for us" and all that which he is right but Def Jam doesn't owe him shyt. He signed a contract, as long as both parties are respecting the terms of that contract, Def Jam doesn't owe him anything extra. He feels entitled to certain things but that's not how it works. How you figure?
Even if he did sign a contract there is still a thing called professional courtesy which seems to be completely lacking from def jamhe's basically saying "I made you this hot, you wouldn't be shyt if it wasn't for us" and all that which he is right but Def Jam doesn't owe him shyt. EDIT: and don't get me wrong, i'm not defending def jam's shytty behavior towards him. fukk them still. what i'm saying is that red should focus on finding a way to get what he wants out of defjam or sign to a new label.
you're right. it is lacking. What i'm saying is that it's not "owed". It's a bad look for Def Jam and shows they lack loyalty but if Redman thinks because he did XYZ in the past he is entitled to be treated a certain way in the present/future, then he is playing himself hard. Heck, is it even the same people at the top of the company from when he signed?Even if he did sign a contract there is still a thing called professional courtesy which seems to be completely lacking from def jam
